He wasn't almost KO'd, he was almost knocked down. He recovered almost momentarily. Make no mistake, Wilder could have ended this in the first couple of rounds, but he prolonged the fight to make Molina look like less of a joke and perhaps give the fans, as GGG put it, "a big drama show". In the end Molina is still one of the worst major belt challengers I have ever seen.
Not sure what to think of Wilder . . . I thought he looked terrible last night, but I thought he looked very good against Stiverne.
LOL. Wilder just looked bad against guy who would do well to get sparring vs Wladimir. Bum will not last two rounds vs Sasha.
Let's just be thankful he wasnt KOd. And that it wasnt by Molina. Having a HW wrecking ball from America makes this a golden era again in the casuals eyes. This will finally give credit to the K2 for the absolute dominance of the HW division when Wilder is sparked by an OLD, LOSING FORM, Klitschko victim.:yep:yep:yep
Anyone with a functioning brain knows that the division is beyond terrible, that Wlad is just the best of a bad bunch and nothing special himself. Wlad KO'ing Wilder means nothing.
So your'e saying Brewster and Sanders were worse than Molina. And he was pummeling both Brewster and and Purrity before he gassed, once mysteriously. Ross Purrity might have been a gatekeeper, but he'd take everything Chisroa could throw and KHTFO inside 5-6 rds.:good
Is this for real? Comparing Fury against Pajkic to Wilder against Molina? Fury fought an u defeated fighter in his 17th fight and won by KO in the 3rd! Wilder fought a journeyman who had been ko'd twice in Wilders 34th fight and he looked ****! Got taken to the 9th!
I agree. Wilder took a couple of steps back in my eyes last night. He should be more refined at this point of his career.
Wlad, Fury, Wilder, Povetkin all have exploitable chins. Everyone should be happy because this should lead to more heavyweight KO's but alas it won't. The best runner, clincher will win and some of them won't fight each other, ever.
