Just mind-boggling to me. Boytsov might either be a world beater or a complete turd - his resume doesn't give ANY indication if he's good or not. Same goes for Wilder. I mean, they could at least start to box some top 100 heavies as opposed to sticking to random #421 boxrec boxers. It's a shame really. It's like they're waiting for the Klits to retire. 26 ain't exactly old for a heavy but I don't see the point in fighting bums at this point now.

I wouldn't be ranting if I saw a chance of them stepping up their competition soon but at this rate they won't accomplish ****.

It's ironic because when they do step up in competition, they'll probably be exposed as bums....

If they don't step up now, they never will. You'd think they'd be itching to get their hands on Povetkin or some or the likes of Tyson Fury etc. Boystov has been particularly dissapointing for me.

I think Wilders progress is just fine and he hasnt reached his prime yet give him another yr or 2

hes in no hurry while pull a Michael Grant

in a yr Vitali will be gone in 2 or 3 yrs Wlad could conceivably be gone Povetkin will either be past his prime or dethroned in that time

so then who would be left?

Boystov, Helenius, Puleev, maybe Mitchell, Arreola, Price, maybe Wach

That's what should happen, but it won't. They'd rather fight hand-picked opponents and pad their records. Look no further than Arreola who's fighting against low competition because he doesn't want to lose his ranking.

I agree with the threadstarter, these guys need to step it up if they want to be taken seriously.

No need to rush either of these kids, they need to feed off the bottom of the HW division for a few more years, the type of fights that can only be seen on YouTube uploaded from a mobile phone.
They should be ready for some of the top journeymen in 5 years time.

  15. Even though they have both not been tested,I think Wilder KO's Boytsov.
