At this point in time it does not seem as though it will matter much either way. Not a shocker nor a surprise.
Breland is a good man and a top trainer, while Jay Deas is a exploitative, unethical creep who doesn't have Wilder's best interests at heart. If Wilder were wise, he'd dump Deas and make Breland his head trainer. But sadly, Wilder is a half-wit.
Ironically Deas himself hired Breland because Deas admitted that he alone couldn’t teach Wilder everything he needed to know to be a successful pro. I’m actually surprised Breland has lasted as long as he did, since Wilder has always hated Breland and wanted to fire him years ago, but Deas wouldn’t allow it. When Deas, Breland, and Wilder were at the fight factory around 8 years ago Wilder didn’t show Breland any respect.
It was because he threw the towel in. I wish he hadn't, I was enjoying every second of that ass whooping. To wilders credit he stayed up, would have been nice to see how much he could take before he went down. Maybe down for good.
There is no point in keeping a trainer you don't listen to or have respect for. I hope he hires someone who he will really listen to
I agree. He should have let Fury crumple Wilder up like tinfoil so that maybe he'd listen the next time he told him to do something.
Smart movie. saving money, he really only needs someone to wave the towel around the 5-6 rounds against Fury.
I was gonna say this was written in rather poor taste, but then I remembered all the **** Wilder used to say.
I thought they already had, shortly after Wilder got his ass handed to him and Breland saved him from further punishment. Did he also part ways with his costume designer, is the real question here.
He should probably fire Deas as well and just let his brother train him for all the good it'd do him at this stage.
I have no doubt Fury will attempt to at least have Breland walk him to the ring whilst wearing a stupid ass costume! Book it!
