Despite A.J resume really is with too much geriatric opponents in his backyard,

While even Hunter had 2 well known in europe names in the ring: prime Usyk's version and old Povetkin.

Hunter really gets props from me for this.

Nothing surprising after a brutal loss and over a year of inactivity.

Yeah, and the sad truth is if Wilder KOes shot to pieces Povetkin whole bunch of people will post bs like Wilder is Back and that Povetkin is the same as in Klitschko match etc..

People are very nice to me here, for the most part. I was laughing because you said something from an alternate universe.

On what planet is Deontay Wilder NOT that big of a name at heavyweight?
    Because it isn't this one.

Wilder defended his heavyweight title more times than the last five WBC/IBF/WBA/WBO champions (Joshua, Fury, Parker, Ruiz and Martin) have COMBINED.

Wilder held the WBC heavyweight title for five years. None of the other current heavyweights have come close.

Wilder defended his title four times and scored six knockdowns against half the Ring's CURRENT top four rated fighters.

Only two boxers made more money boxing last year than Wilder, and one wasn't a heavyweight (Canelo).

His fight with Fury last year made more than a $100 million ... and it didn't take ONE Saudi Prince to DUPE into putting up $100 million to get that money (LOL). Actual boxing fans actually paid that much.

He's kind of a big deal. Whether you care to admit it or not.

It's difficult to make a case that a fight is ACTUALLY a big deal in 2021 if the "fans" most interested refuse to pay more than the going rate of a 1990s PPV for it.

And the making of the fight all hinges on convincing one Saudi prince to take a $100 million bath on it, because die hards in Britain won't pay a third of what U.S. fans have forked over.

The RING CURRENTLY rates Fury as Champ. Joshua at #1. Wilder at #2. Whyte at #3. Ortiz at #4. Those are the top five heavyweights in the world.

Wilder defended his heavyweight title against Fury twice and dropped him twice. And Wilder defended against Ortiz twice and dropped him four times.

Fury challenged Wilder for the title twice.

Ortiz challenged Wilder for the title twice.

Joshua has never defended his titles against any of them, but fought Whyte in a non-title fight SIX years ago.

And British fans won't pay more than 29.99 to watch Fury fight Joshua, because it isn't THAT big of a deal.

    The situation speaks for itself.

No one believes Ortiz is still top 5 except the marketting execs at the ring.

Stick to Ortiz being universally considered top 5 when Wilder beat him. It will make your argument stronger

I don't have to make a big deal, media outlets and promoters will do that.

But its not the going rate of the 90s, £30 is an all time high.

If US fans are happy paying 3 times the amount of UK fans, for fights we almost always end up getting for free, I really don't have a complaint with that tbh.

Well, sometimes when you expect to get everything for free and expect someone else to pay the bill, you don't get anything at all.
