I’ve stayed out of this mess but will chime in Now. Wilder knew and always knew that to fight AJ it would be in UK. A side rules. He should have taken the 15 million Wilder and AJ are shaky fighters. They can lose to good opponents. They should have just signed the damn fight
Yep i suppose he has. He still will have options though. AJ loses his belts he still packs out stadiums in the UK and who ever owns the belts will be offering the chance to win them back becuase Hearn will pay them a fortune. If Wilder wants that money he can negotaite a better deal as he owns the only belt and still fight AJ next. If AJ wins and Wilder loses i dont know if Joshua would want to fight him anymore or not. Very high risk, very little reward. Wilders fanbase is growing but losing to Breazeale will certainly lose him a few. But AJ may still want to fight him anyway (doubt it), but if not it wont be long before he gets a KO or 2 and before you know it he is sitting in mandatory position for atleast one of Joshuas belts. If they both lose. Well i just gotta laugh if that happens, **** them they are both already rich.
Disagree, why would he take 15m when the fight could easily be above 80 m dollars? That would be a humongous blunder, Wilder deserves at least 40% if he were to fight in the UK. At least.
Hearn will make the same money fighting Povetkin as he would AJ fighting Wilder. Dont kid yourself dude.
They're both playing the long game. It will be easy to rouse the coke-snorting football fan casuals to sell out an arena in the UK next April, regardless of how frustrated the hardcore fans are and Eddie knows it. Let's be honest the average bloke on the street in the UK barely knows who AJ is, let alone Wilder. Sad but true.
I dont think so. Wilder needs this fight more than AJ does. Its in AJ interest to stall out Wilder, cuz if Wilder takes an L then theres no reason to fight him anymore.
Finkel offered Joshua 50 million and Eddie Hearn said he'd have to think it over. . That tells you all you need to know.
