this is pathetic at this point
    https://www.the-sun.com/sport/5433819/deontay-wilder-tyson-fury-ko/

“And the 12th round knockout of Fury, because I definitely knocked his ass out. I won that fight hands down.

“Not only with me knocking him out and the ref giving him more time because he felt like it would be the right thing to do because of the type of fight that it was.

“It was a highly anticipated fight, had a lot on the line and sometimes these referees go out of their character feeling like, ‘I’mma do what’s best for the sport,’ instead of what is in the rules."

Wilder believes referee Jack Reiss should've waved off the fight after seeing Fury flat out on his back.

He continued: “I definitely knocked him out. The referee was Jack Reiss and if you go back and look at any of his fights, he stops a lot of fights early.

“Sometimes they don’t even get to get up and he’s waving it off.

“When I knocked Fury out I literally seen it with my own self, that’s one of the reasons why I was so surprised.

“Not only with the count, but I seen this man’s eyes rolled back into his head, that’s how this s*** was.

“I seen his veins popping out his head and I knew he had a concussion. He was gone, that’s a wave off, period.”

To be fair, Fury looked knocked out cold the moment he hit the deck. Had the ref waved it off I wouldn't have been surprised.

But he didn't, and Fury did get up, and that's that.

On a side note, does Wilder consider the first Ortiz fight one of his most brutal knockout losses?

isn't there an argument that Ortiz should of won and the fight should of stopped with Wilder out on his feet?

No matter what he or anybody else thinks, that moment right there when fury got up will forever be remembered in boxing folklore!

My favourite KO is Wilder Ortiz 2..yknow the one where Ortiz won literally every round, Wilder had landed nothing the entire fight. He lands one right hand, Ortiz goes down but gets up before 10... And the ref calls it off even though there's nothing left in the round.

Give the guy who is clearly winning, and had taken 0 punishment up until that point, a chance. Especially when it's at the end of the round.

    Early stoppage corrupt reffing mf

Yes, Wilder had had his share of help from dodgy referees.

We all remember one of the greatest knockouts of Luis Ortiz...when he stopped Wilder via TKO in the first fight in Round 7!

Fury is an animal. People don't take him seriously because he's flabby and a joker but he's the baddest man in boxing today. He's a real life terminator.

Following Wilder's butt hurt Boxing will now change the 10 count rule to 10 second rule, boxing will now use a radioactive An all-optical atomic clock, recently demonstrated by researchers at the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST; Gaithersburg, MD), produces about 1 quadrillion "ticks" per second and promises to be as much as 1000 times more accurate than the world's current standard in time measurement-cesium-based microwave atomic clocks to ensure counts are precisely 10 seconds.

Wilder is hinting here that he expected the Ref to wave it off, before finishing the count, which are desperate comments, in themselves.

Fortunately, Reiss had a better vantage point than Wilder and saw Fury was responsive. That, combined with an extremely rapid recovery from Fury, led to a well-managed KD.

Moreover, Wilder had a full 2 minutes in the 12th round to finish Fury off - but he didn't manage it and even risked his extra point, once Fury had gotten back into the round. If Fury had been in the condition that Wilder alludes to, stopping him should have been a formality for Wilder, surely?

I can understand, to some extent, why Wilder is seeking some consolation from what could be considered the most successful moment he had in 28 completed rounds. It is all he has had to cling to, upon realizing he actually wasn't and isn't the best heavyweight in the world - by some margin.

He'll quite likely maintain his interpretation of Round-12, forever more. But the bottom line is that Fury mugged Wilder on three separate occasions, in different ways, across their trilogy. Most people give Fury the first fight, despite the scorecards ending it in a Draw, anyway.

This leaves Wilder very little solace.
