Ortiz was the only guy to school Wilder and made wilder need his power to bail himself out. I think you're really undermining x factors fury brought to the table. After the first and especially the second fight Wilder and how team had to know putting all their hopes on wilders power was a huge risk. They did in fact change strategy in the last match and he even got a new trainer.

Wilder had lots of options and didn't need to rematch such a dangerous opponent was my point. Fury was the champion and Wilder wanted his belt back above any other match that could be made.

Thar isn't strictly true though I can think of 5-6 fights where Wilder was being outboxed. which isn't the same as schooled. I'm not talking about Fury though I'm talking specifically about Wilders mindset and the fact his team were yes men that fed his delusion.
I'm getting the impression that you are trying to reframe what I'm saying. I think I'm being reasonably clear in what I'm stating.

Word is Eubank jnr is asking Brook out of retirement. What do you guys think, if Brook batters Eubank and Eubank then wants the rematch is he daring to be great?

If my memory serves me well, in 2019, Canelo was ranked in three categories according to "Ring Magazine": middleweight, super middleweight, and lightweight.
In one of those 3 categories, he was ranked first. (I write from memory, because I have a blockade on the Internet, so I can't check).

I think I'll go watch Wilder / Fury 2 and Bivol / Canelo again. :) Warms the heart

I get what you're saying. I do agree wilder had yes men that indirectly contributed to his downfall.

I go hard sometimes on Wilder not because of him but because peeople overarte that power which was only tested against one elite fighter.
I do think Wilder could have been far better if he'd not been protected so much throughout his career and had people around him that actually help him develop as a boxer. If someone like Manny had still been around I think he would have been a lot better. Some personalities need telling what to do and Wilder is just one of those people as he doesn't have the IQ to work it out himself. As is he only ever got beat by Fury and he a had a belt for 5 years so in many ways over achieved when all things considered.

Was GGG daring to be great by rematching Canelo and still trying to get a rematch?

Bro what the heck. Wilder Cherry picked Fury but that backfired which forced him to fight him to fight another two times. Canelo fought the best of the best again and again until eventually he dared to be too great and ended up losing to Bivol. Wilder ain’t for nothing on Canelo.

Before Bivol, Canelo was a top 5 p4p fighter and the only man to defeat Golovkin, so yes he'd be daring to be great attempting to avenge his loss.

That's not what happened. The first fight ended in a draw and Fury wasn't even ranked, he had no obligation to rematch him. The first fight Wilder won 3 rounds at best but kept things interesting with his power and determination.

He absolutely did not have to rematch fury after the brutal stoppage loss of the 2nnd fight. NOBODY would blame him for not wanting to pursue a 3rd fight but he did anyways. Literally drug Fury through court when he had multiple options he could have pursued.

Canelo had multiple options at 168 and 175 and has consistently picked the fighter perceived to be weaker.
