Referring to the fight with Joshua -

“He’s a champion. I’m a champion,” Wilder said. “So when they give me this A side, B side, that’s just an excuse to not let the fight happen. This is a straight split down the middle.”

“If he comes to America, he’s unknown without me, and if he wants to make the most money, he needs to come here. The mecca of boxing will always be America,” Wilder said.

If this is a question of your split and home advantage....fight Whyte in the US.

Hearn will still give you £4 million +.

Sorry, AJ is the king in this instance. Wilder can bark all he wants.
At the end of the day the King is the one who decides when and where and how much he will get paid.

What I don't understand is Wilder is saying he wants 50%.. 50% of what? What offer? What sum of money?

All Wilder has to do is agree a purse with his promoter, then all it's about is paying Joshua the money to come over.

The TV deals will have to be split but Wilders purse can and will be paid by his promoter if they want the fight in the US.

Or does Eddie Hearn have to pay Wilder now? Wilder and his fans are without doubt ridiculously dumb.

Wilder talks like there is this magic pot of money that is already there that has to be divided.. agree a purse with your promoter and work from there, you want the fight in the US then you make Joshua an offer, it doesn't work the other way around.

Parker right away made it clear they would settle for less than 50/50.

Most likely because even if they get ripped off they FEEL they will win and then make it all back plus lots more. Wilder has not yet struck me as one of those types of fighters.

The thing is, as Hearn has said time and time again, he has to overpay every Joshua opponent, simply because no-one has the draw anywhere close to what AJ has.

If me and you went to work and took on a 'two man job', I did 10% of the work and you only took home 50% of the pay, would you be happy?

Wilder is trying to sell himself on who he keeps claiming he will become.

The masses will wait until he becomes the MAN before they start really paying him what the MAN gets paid. He can whine all he wants. He is a drama queen, its what he does.

Im sure Wilder wants this fight and wants those belts but im not sure i have faith in Finkel and Haymon wanting it. Its massivly obvious who has the negotiationg power, where the fight should be held and really how much of a percentage Wilder should expect to get and we all know what Wilder has been getting in previous fights.

But Finkel has been making alot of noise even though it turns out he hasnt done a damn thing to try make this fight. Im sure people like Finkel, Dibella, Haymon are in Wilders ear telling him he should be getting 50-50 and the fight should be in America, they know their man wants the fight and they are guna do what ever they can to get him to walk away from it. I feel they have worked that same magic on Wilder being so eager to turn his back on Povetkin and Ortiz too.

The age old tactic of making alot of noise and trying to use smoke and mirrors to try make it look like the other side that have walked away from this fight. Its been done so many times and this stinks of the same thing. Weve already heard the HEARN AND JOSHUA ARE DUCKING screams from Finkel, historically next is calls for the fight to be made somewhere its unlikely to be made and calls for an outragous fee. And Wilder is already talking about it.

If Hearn is ducking the Joshua v Wilder clash.....

Why is he offering Wilder £4 million + to fight Whyte?

Is he hoping Wilder retires after that fight even if he wins?

It amazes me that some cannot see that Hearn has actually tried to progress Wilder's career more in the last 6 months, than his own camp have done in 9 years.

Not sure I see the logic here.

You're using Hearn offering someone who isn't AJ to Wilder as evidence that he isn't trying to shield AJ away from Wilder? Wilder has said if Hearn promises AJ after the Whyte he'd take it hasn't he?

    I agree with Wilder.
Both have belts, both undefeated... 50/50 purse split but US PPV goes to Wilder(Their team may promote their fighter with that carrot hanging in front of them) and UK PPV to AJ. I think Parker vs AJ/ Wilder winner should get 50% as well(if Wilder KO's AJ, Wilder will tell Parker he's not getting 50/50 for sure)
If Hearn wants to break into the US, you need to fight in the USA even if you take a short-term loss on how much you could have made in the fight being in the UK, long term taking a short-term loss to unlock America would be the best strategy without question.

Wilder is making $1.4 million on a good night. AJ makes $30 million a night. So AJ needs to come to the US and take a huge pay cut, just so crybaby Deontay is happy?
