Good name for Wilder. This is the type of opposition he should be handling right now. Former have-beens. If he takes them apart without taking a scratch then he can move up to live contenders.

Never been stopped inside of 9 rounds, a gatekeeper who has losses only to top-tier fighters.

I don't remember anyone complaining that he was shot when Jennings fought him. Didn't win but gave a very game effort.

Wilder needs rounds and this guy should be able to give him rounds.

That's cause nobody is really expecting anything from Jennings.

Wilder on the other hand might turn out to be something special.

The White Wolf is coming from two ko losses in a row. In that context you still have to consider him a more durable fighter than Audley Harrison, Wilders last opponent but just barely. Then there's the question if White Wolf VS Wilder is a better fight than Wilder VS Price was but that's a very difficult question to answer.

Considering the fact that they were talking about a Wilder VS Chisora bout this is very disappointing news since that would have been a much more difficult fight for Wilder.

Never the less, if Wilder loses to the White Wolf I don't think that anyone will be particularly surprised.

I swear the intelligence level on esb is at an all-time low.

This is a great matchup for Wilder.

He has feasted on cans and is now taking the next step.

He can now be evaluated against has beens. If he passes the test, then he goes to the next step.

I swear some of you post about a sport you have no idea about.

Even a super shot and ring rusty Liakovich is leagues above the red neck bar brawlers Wilder has fought before. Liakovich has fought in the top 10, knows all the tricks and will try to fool and clown Wilder. It's a proper test.

Wilder needs to fight guys like Liakovich, Rahman or Thompson (if he loses to Price) for now. Then if he beats all of them unanimously he can move on to more dangerous opposition.

A washed-up, totally past-it Lyackhovic is a significant step-up for Wilder. I can't imagine why anyone would've expected much more.

I know Sergei's done like a steak that's been left under the broiler overnight, but he still is the toughest test yet for Wilder.

That says more about Deontay's level of opposition up to this point than anything else, but I don't have a problem with this fight. If he doesn't suffer a setback here, it'll be time for another step up.

Liakhovich was outboxing Helenius before he was stopped, I wouldn't go as far to say he's shot.

I was expecting Maskaev, this is a good step up.
