NOPE. Wilder lacks the talent Wladimir Klitschko has to utilize his size advantage over the Russian, not to mention the blatant dirty boxing Wlad employed. There is a distinct skill advantage at play here in favor of Povetkin, that size is not going to be a factor. By your strange logic, people who are 6'5, 6'6, which there are PLENTY of in the division, will beat Povetkin right? By your logic, old school boxers who were shorter than Povetkin, but are considered overhyped American legends will also lose to Wilder atsch Povetkin is NO small fry, he is 6'2 (1/2).
I think this is a well matched fight. Povetkin is tougher and has better fundamentals Wilder is bigger and more athletic.
Alexander Povetkins comp is overrated when compared to Wilder. Povetkins comp is better than Wilder, but you're using the wrong names. Charr is a bum, Perez overrated and Takam is too. Povetkin has taken a step backwards after the Wlad fight IMO. He's fought guys tailormade to keep him relevant at heavy. The Chambers and Chagaev wins are better than Wilders win over Stiverne. Hell going life and death with Huck was a good win...but don't brag about those last few guys Pov has beaten as some totally superior comp as to who Wilder has beaten. You gets none from me lol.
Wilder's most sensational win was over Dustin "The Worm" Nichols. Wilder was really showing his spirit and willingness to take chances there. Would like to see a rematch.
:hey to save a thread it's proper to change the subject matter to Dustin "Worm" Nichols as soon as possible!! :worm :burger :worm :yep
why even bother blizz? this forum has been infested by pro-eu trolls. charr is a great win for povetkin but the guy who beat Charr is a cherry pick and a terrible fight for wilder to these trolls.
