I keep seeing that "yanks" are overhyping Wilder but literally no casual fans know him over here and he has had next to zero media publicity. Also, for real boxing fans who are yanks the only ones I've seen hyping him are literally like two people on here.

Doesn't matter if the guys Wilder fights are punchers or not, he needs to fight guys with chins! He needs to fight guys who've never been stopped and who've never been down. That way he can get a few distance fights in. A fighters first real test is not supposed to be when they're challenging for a title belt.

There's a REASON for this, and it's found in Wilder's fragile glass mandible.

As soon as he faces a live body that glass jaw's getting shattered. Count on it.

So you don't think Liakhovich was a "live body"?

Why are his managers taking a step BACK after fighting shot Liakhovich? Now should have been a great opportunity to step it up a little, especially since it showed that their man brutally KTFO Sergei in the first round, something no one has been able to do so early in a fight against such a tough guy.

Also, no one brings this up, but Wilder has never been past the 4th round. That's insane. How well could he handle being taken into deep waters over the later rounds?

Liakhovich was basically a semi-active, washed up former contender who had lost something like 5 of his last 7 fights, going back to 2006. You do the math.

Wilder is the biggest fraud going in boxing today. A mirage - completely the product of VERY careful matchmaking.

He's fought some of the most pathetic "opposition" I have ever seen for far longer than I can ever recall, in 35 years of watching boxing.

He is - literally - a knockout waiting to happen. Just wait. That glass jaw is gonna get brutally shattered the moment he faces a decent fighter. Bet the farm on it man! :nod

What happened to the hippie who applauded boxer's for giving it their best, despite their weaknesses, talent level, etc?

Wilder's management is trying to rip off the boxing public by padding his record with stiffs. I don't like that.

And, I might add, Wilder himself has a tendency to showboat and gloat when he beats up on these fat bar patrons he's fighting - like he's actually fighting people who have a chance of beating him. :patsch

This is pretty poor sportsmanship, to say the least. Yet another reason I want to see this joke exposed.

This and the White Wolf actually do represent a drastic uptick in risk Wilder has faced.

Rip off the boxing public? Can you explain, please?

Funny, because I remember you applauding certain fighters when they showboated, and showering them with praise.

These promoters are trying to hype Wilder as some big KO artist. ****, if you fed this collection of cab drivers and bartenders to Chris Byrd, people would think he was Mike Tyson!!!

Wilder already has a undeserved top 5 ranking with several of the alphabet groups. For what? Knocking out these no-hopers?? THAT'S what I mean by rip off. ****, Michael Grant was more legitimate!

And who do I "applaud" for showboating? I hate showboating.
