This fight is a joke. Shouldn't be on a network like Showtime in first place. The whole card is hideous. Is this how you build a fighter? And he has the guts to talk about a title fight next year. So many guys are waiting on the queue fighting their way. Wilder wants shorcuts.

He should fight someone of a note...finally.

He will pay sooner or later...

Which explains why you were making anti-Wilder posts 2 years ago.

    Wilder v Chisora please

    Decent test for Wilder

Chisora ain't a big puncher but he is durable, and gave Vitali his hardest night for years, that kind of fight would tell us where Wilder is

His management are failing him. He won't, can't, learn how to cope with real opposition fighting an endless procession of people who don't really hit back. He'll either be utterly destroyed by a Klitschko or be held fighting nobodies until they're retired and the path is relatively clear. Either way, I'd bet he could have been much more if he'd been brought through right.

In what fight did Firtha not hit back?

In what fight did Liakhovich not hit back?

Firtha didn't get many chances to hit back against Fields. Wilder shall enjoy roughly the same advantage in size.

Liakhkovich was just never allowed to get anything off versus Wilder. That was over before it started.

Tyson Fury had more of a size advantage and Firtha had him chicken dancing -- certainly kept punching the whole fight, as he did against Povetkin.

Liakhovich had never been stopped in less than nine rounds and fought competitevely in every loss ... and Wilder sparked him out. If he was already shot, I just want someone to point out exactly what round against Jennings it happened in, because nobody said he was shot at that point. Shopworn, yes, but up until Wilder left him twitching he was certainly a viable gatekeeper/journeyman.

I'd put Firtha in the journeyman category.

I just don't see the big deal about Wilder fightingi journeymen at this stage. Just because he spent more time fighting lesser opposition doesn't mean he should skip the journeyman stage. That makes zero sense.

Firtha is less than a journeyman. Wilder should be well past fighting journeymen by this time, but the fact remains he hasn't even fought ahy real journeymen. Liakovich was shot, and everyone knew it. It was simply a name for his poor resume.:deal

They it should be easy for you to answer the question: how did Liakhovich go nine competitive rounds with Jennings in his most recent fight if he was completely shot?

Exactly when did he become shot?

And if Firtha is less than a journeyman, why was he competitive with Fury (had him clearly hurt and doing the chicken dance) and how did he go the distance with Povetkin?

I am not saying either was a contender, but both definitely meet the definition of journeyman.

BS... I'm American and Wilder is definitely over-hyped by people on these boards and elsewhere... Wilder is a tomato can crushing JOKE with a glass jaw, he's going to badly exposed when he steps up.

I think a good matchup to test him at this point would be Arreola. What would you guys say if he sparked arreola in 2 or 3 rounds ? Id give him respect for that. Maybe even Stiverne ? I just wish his handlers would start matching him up with better opposition !!
