Wilder for me is a slight favorite vs Povetkin

Povetkin went 12 with Fritha, Wilder destroyed him in 4.

 

Wilder knocked Firtha out in 4, Povetkin won a 10 round UD over Firtha, although Firtha nearly knocked Wilder down with a jab :think

 

Meh, Pov fought a better version of *Firtha

 

Excuses that nobody will respect. He's a fighter that gives a good effort, and good work for prospects. He's there for the taking and Povetkin didn't do it, Fury did despite getting rocked, Wilder also.
Povetkin isn't knocking out Wilder's entire resume.

 

Povetkin broke his right hand in the Firtha fight...

 

And so did Wilder when he didn't knock out Stiverne but I'm not giving excuses.

Either way, stopping Wach>>>stopping Firtha

 

Povetkin never came close to stopping Firtha. Wilder rocked Stiverne several times and should've been credited with a knockdown. That Wach stoppage was suspect being so close to the end of the fight, Wach loses to everybody in the top 20-30 so not a huge feather in the cap.

 

Wach would KO Wilder. Stiverne was more hurt against Arreola and Demetrice King.

Molina, who has one of the worst jaws in boxing, took his punches for 9 rounds.

Stiverne also admitted that Arreola punches way harder than Wilder :hey

 

Demetrice King rocked Stiverne too

This could go on all day anyway, I suppose the main point being that I didn't know they both fought Firtha and would have perhaps worded my initial comment differently had I been aware...

Wach is a bum fighter whenever the steroid cheat steps up again. I would not be proud of that. He that he showed is that Povetkin can get hit with a jab, straight right hand combo.

 

I slightly favour wilder by KO, he is going into the lions den tho.

 

It will tell us a lot about Wilder. How will he deal with fighting on the road against a seasoned Professional. Up to this point Wilder has been fighting hand picked opponents (other than Stiverne)

There is a huge gap in class and skill between Wilder and Povetkin. I also don't think Wilder is physically strong enough to throw Povetkin around like a rag doll like Wlad did.
