Despite their chins their lack of defense makes me think this will end quickly for someone. Potential to top Foreman Lyle

I will need to see more stoppage wins of genuinely elite opposition, before I put him in the argument about the hardest puncher of all time.

For now the game is wait and see.

I think it's fair to reserve judgment on Wilder's power. He clearly is a physical oddity that carries a big punch and this, combined with his long frame, has been enough to build up his record and reputation, as well as to do enough to somehow rescue him from certain defeat.

That said, it's also clear to me that he is there to be out-boxed; already has been and probably will be again, at some point soon. However, as long as his opponents make the mistake of going into a static pause (generally, in the feet department) or walking into his right-hands, Wilder's going to keep on knocking them over.

Whatever the age of Ortiz actually is, watching the impact of that right-hand, which recently finished him off in his latest challenge against Wilder, was like seeing a man react to heavy machinery falling on him. Could a younger Ortiz have recovered? I am not so sure.

The bar hits Wilder on the forehead, knocking him out, and hits Foreman and Baer on the throat rendering them unconscious...

If he had to fight prime Holmes that would be a purists battle.
