Wilder's come a long way in his 10 year career, fighting from the swamps of Alabama against the likes of Nichols and Sconiers, to the brights lights of Vegas at the MGM Grand in big Championship Fights with the World watching
He benefited from KTFO-ing every man he faced. He aint never been gifted ****, unlike AJ who got gifted a gold medal and 3 of the Gypsy King's belts.
Joshua is a hypejob with a fake persona and a fake Olympic gold medal, but the topic is about Wilder. If we talk about amateur boxing, let's not forget that Wilder benefited from having the easiest draw in probably the history of the Olympics. All he had to do is beating 2 absolute bums (an Algerian and a Moroccan) to get a medal when he was a mediocre amateur at best. And he even managed to struggle against that fat Moroccan nobody in the quarterfinals, before he got schooled by Russo. Wilder also benefited from that he could face Stiverne for the title (it was a joke that Wilder could fight Malik Scott in an eliminator, the same Scott who was sparked out by Chisora before and only beat a professional loser after that). Stiverne was a Don King manufactured paper champion, it was also a joke that he could face Arreola for the WBC title, when Stiverne already beat him and Arreola was barely ranked top 10 back then. But that was the only way Wilder could become the heavyweight champion back then, that's why I said it was good matchmaking that he fought the Haitian-Canadian right away. Let's not forget that as a champion Wilder was allowed to have 5 voluntary defenses against C level boxers IN A ROW and after that he finally faced his mandatory who was that fat inactive old bum Stiverne who did nothing to deserve becoming the mando. Wilder only deserves to get credit for beating old Ortiz, the rest of his opposition was awful so far.
Yeah the mans done well from his very humble beginnings to the bright lights of stardom. Although the man has had the easiest career i think ive ever seen. I looked back over all his fights and who his opposition where and it is embarrasing and i also noticed people have been complaining about how hes been matched up for a long long time now.
