My wife bought tickets for the Mosely/Margarito fight. #7 section row 4. This was the first section above the floor. $75.00 US.

The dude already told you he is no expert and provided his insight.:beer-toast1:

I see this fights making money based on the higher prices and not volume. Wilder first PPV might do less than GGG first PPV:eeek:

Wilder is not a big name here in the USA. The fight has caught some buzz on ESPN but most of my casual friends have zero interest but they are hyped for PAC and Broner:facepalm:

Can we create a sticky where all the people concerned about the business side of boxing can argue with each other over other people's money?

Why don't you just avoid the thread. Nobody is forcing you to read it.

I had to have a place to voice my opinion, instead of you know, creating the 10th thread on the subject and clogging the forum.

I know what you mean, but I trust fish eyes and Espinoza about as much as I trust Hearn and Barney Francis. All we can do is compare the numbers we're given.

So, your claim on Joshua floor seat prices is wrong, your claim on Floyd-Berto prices is wrong, and your estimate based off of that is also wrong. Appreciate the attempt though.

What was the purpose of this post? I asked him to guesstimate some numbers of he is going to make big claims like saying a 90,000 stadium event has similar costs to an arena event that never planned on selling more than 15k.

Also, everything else your said is repeating what I already posted in this thread.

Joshua/Wlad floor seats £2000 from official Matchroom website that's $2600 USD compared to the $1553 USD for Wilder/Fury

    http://www.matchroomboxing.com/news/joshua-vs-klitschko-ticket-sales-announcement/

Mayweather Berto ticket prices as per link below.

"That's despite the fact that the face value of this fight -- ranging from $125 to $1,500 "

    http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story/...t-more-2100-seats-available-low-ticket-prices

Confirmation of the live gate for Mayweather/Berto as $10,062,500 USD.

    http://boxing.nv.gov/results/Top_Boxing_Gates/

So if anyone is wrong it's you, I used facts instead of assumptions like yourself.

Thanks for the insight. I assumed what you were saying was the case, but I can't understand why the official site is still selling floor seats at 2k+. Just for future reference, do you know how people get them discounted?

You seem to be quoting most expensive AJ seats vs a made up figure. I have no idea why and it makes you wrong. Most of the floor seats for Wilder Fury are over 2k. Much higher than the Mayweather Berto numbers you quoted. No need to get upset over it. I genuinely appreciate the effort.
