Wilder (Fury 3) vs. AJ (Dubois fifght)

Wilder should be able to KO him...

 

Wilder definitely has a high chance to KO him however Wilder likes to stand off and pick you off rather than taking initiative all the way through like Dubois did vs AJ so there’s a chance AJ is able to ease himself in the fight much better, get a rhythm going and then his superior boxing skills take over and break Wilder down busting him up and stopping him.

Since it’ll be a boxing match with both guys standing off trying to pick each other off Wilder finding the straight right and icing AJ is a high probability.

 

Aj is better, with a much greater resume, but I think Wilder from the Fury fights would do him

Aj showed some heart against Dubois, but Wilder has a lot of heart and power

Ajs defence was terrible that night so I think Wilder could ko him early

Aj is the better fighter on his best night, but he looked shyte vs Dubois

 

Was the last we saw from Wilder really. AJ is pretty hittable with a suspect chin and I think Wilder from the third Fury fight would have hurt him enough at some-point.

Completely different fighter to the Wilder we saw against Parker and Zhang.

 

No idea how anyone is supposed to judge this, given that Wilder vs Fury was a 10 round fight, and Joshua vs Dubois was a fight involving someone who was essentially concussed after 2 mins.
No way to parse this info to make an accurate comparison.
Seems more like another Joshua diss thread tbh.

Wilder from Fury 3 vs Joshua from Usyk 2 is a better matchup.

I think AJ wins that one.

 

The scary thing is that Joshua didn't somehow forget how to box - he just fought someone who wasn't 40 years old.

 

Look, let's look at some facts.
AJ was quite easily landed upon by Dubious.
Wilder had faster hands, absolutely. People need to rewatch those Fury fights and see how good Fury's defence had to be to avoid so many of these shots, particularly early on in the fights.
Thus it is HIGHLY likely Wilder lands on AJ all along but particularly in a fight where Dubious is catching him like that.
If Wilder lands his bombs AJ is going down like everyone else and it's likely the finish will be soon after.
At the same time, Wilder isn't a defensive wizard and AJ can land on him too, and finish him.
But the edge goes to Wilder because he has better power and was less gunshy than AJ became (after Wlad/Ruiz fights).

For people that say AJ just beats him all along, maybe go look at some of the flashy shots Wilder landed on plenty of experienced fighters, even if they weren't 'elite'. AJ doesn't suddenly avoid shots like this just because he's better than most of them. Fat Ruiz caught AJ and Wilder is much more dangerous.

 

Given how Joshua was leaning back from shots with his hands down against Dubois, which isn't something he usually does and that Wilder is taller, rangier and faster than DDD, I'd heavily favour Wilder to KO Joshua.

Prior to the Dubois loss, I think the worst version of Joshua we'd seen was the one stopped by Ruiz but the AJ we saw last time out shouldn't be a heavy favourite against anyone at the top level, even a faded Wilder. He looked uncertain, looked too easy to hit and was making silly mistakes, like spamming the right hand which led to him being timed and KO'ed.

 

To beat Wilder you have to back him up so he can't get range or punching room to fire off that dangerous long right hand.

Joshua looked hesitant when Dubois came out assertive and Joshua was on the backfoot which doesn't bode well for him vs Wilder.

As much as I discredit Wilder and Fury.....Wilder can hit no question and Fury has considerably better recuperative powers than Joshua.

I'd say Wilder by KO in all honesty.

 

Yeah, Wilder (from Fury 3) would be favourite. Though ironically, it was when Joshua hurt Dubois and was pushing him back that he got stopped

Quite funny though that we are comparing one of the career high performances for Wilder with one of the career worst for Joshua

 

AJ is the better fighter 99% of the time, by quite a distance... But Wilder at his best would've had a chance against that version of him, agreed.

 

Wilder is such a bum, but he would always still have a chance if he can fire that right hand
