Realistically, at this point, that's the only way to make it a competitive comparison. Joshua has been a legit contender for a long time, he has his limitations but until that fight he's not looked like he might've faded to the point that he's not anymore. Wilder on the other hand has never beaten a legit contender, and very arguably not even a fringe one either... Which is why the comparison has to be between Wilder's best and Joshua's new low for it to make any sense.
Sure, Wilder was always extremely limited... But he'd have had a punchers chance against most, no doubt.
The Dubois version of AJ was so abysmal, that Wilder would get him sooner or later. Chin up in the air, displicent attitude, crazy childish talk in the corner, that can only result in a bad performance. Yet I still want to watch it. Dont expect to see AJ perform so bad next time. 4 wins in a row, 2 big KOs, he fell for his own hype, but should know better by now. Time for AJ vs Wilder!!!
