I heard some gal nterviewing fury say that it broke the record for dollar intake -surpassing Holyfield bowe
Too early to say but I'm sure it did well, there was a huge crowd for the weigh in and the live gate broke the record for heavyweight boxing. So I expect at least a million PPV buys. I don't think it will get close to the 2 mill Arum predicted. Anything less than a million should be seen as disappointing given the hype behind this fight.
There were way more people at the theater I watched it at than for Canelo-GGG 1 and that fight did over a million PPV. Based on the live gate, I would say somewhere between 1-2 million is not out of the question.
The Gypsy King is a global superstar now and I expect the numbers will be high given how enchanted the good people of the USA are with him. He's hands down the biggest star in American boxing right now and I'm sure millions of his adoring fans over there dipped into their wallets and parted with their hard earned cash to watch him administer a biblical ass whooping for the ages over the now fallen former champ.
