What should Wilder's game plan be for the trilogy? He should look to come forwards like fight 1, he can't fight going backwards

Spot on! A friend of mine who fought at Jr. middleweight was stunned by the fight, he said Wilder's corner should have told him not to take one step backwards ever. He should have tried to end it in the first round when Fury came to him.

    Forget the trilogy

He can't push on 270 lbs behemont Fury, Deontay is tall but he's not a big guy

Deontay would have to vastly improve his footwork, maybe add some muscle on those quads, learn to side step and throw left hooks and uppercuts, learn how and when to throw a godamn bodyshot, learn to defend agaisnt Fury's jab etc

Basically he'd have to reinvent himself at 35 yo.

The smartest move would be to let Fury-AJ happen, improve your boxing game as much as you can, and pick up a vacant belt when winner vacates one of the belts ( and they will ) . I'm sure Haymon can buy him AGAIN a vacant title shot agaisnt a weak opponent

Then, in about two years, give it another go against the elite of the division

Question is, how do you pass on the trilogy when you came with lame excuses such as " my costume beat me" and " Anthony Dirrel double agent ish " ...
    Hahahahahah

He'll never ever live it down if he doesnt fight and beat Fury in the summer

How can he do all this? Youre basically suggesting him to take PEDs

His game plan is to keep going until he's lying flat and ktfo. The costumed fool is going to need a priest and not a medic.

Not at all. He needs to stop relying on this ' get out of jail ' right hand and learn to be more versatile.

It will be a tough ask for a stubborn person like Deontay who's also a bad loser.

It will be interesting to see how his career unfolds from now on. Its usually not good for a one trick poney. I cant remember the last one who managed to turn it around

That’s not going to work anymore because if Wilder tries to go forward, Fury will just hold his ground, and then we’ve got an inside fight. Wilder is terrible on the inside...all he has is a right uppercut but Fury will be ready for it. Tyson is just too big for Wilder to walk down.

Wilders game plan should be to avoid the fight and go back to beating stiffs.

A gameplan is useless for him, he doesn't have the toolset to implement ANY plan. He's learned nothing.

Lateral movement, step into the jab and fire the right at Fury solar, plexus, eventually it will land on the chin, side step the head lock and keep it long while circling, the jab and lateral movement will be the key., stop waiting and get of first.

Contrary to 1457895421 million negative posts about Wilder it is still a winnable fight for him IMO, he did not quit and believed until the towel that he eventually land clean on Fury .......once the rose colored glasses come off every non biased observer will see that Fury was no spring chicken in the 7th either.and extremely sloppy at times.

It is a fact that Wilder can hurt Fury far more with one or two punches then vice versa.

Fury won , no excuses but I bet my bottom dollar that he takes Wilder a lot more serious then you clowns around here.

The absolute irony would be if Wilder pulls it off and a Fighter labeled as a total Bum beat the GOAT Fury.

Wilder will only dominate the ring if you willingly give up ground. I fail to see how he forces Fury back, should Fury decide to come forward. Fury’s the bigger man, with the better defence, and infinitely greater boxing IQ. While he doesn’t hit as hard as Wilder he sets up his punches much better.

Wilder needs to not sit on everyone of his punches. He needs to mix it up. Disguise some of his shots. Learn how to feint.

The only game plan open to Wilder is to forget a rematch altogether. No version of Wilder beats Fury EVER.

Yep exactly, simply saying move forward is meaningless you have to be able to implement that strategy somehow, intent alone does nothing.

Wilder at least knows what's coming this time in the 3rd fight this time, but he will need to make a number of changes if he isn't to be battered again.

He needs to learn to slip a jab for one. It's something he's never had to learn, when a jab comes his way he usually parries it or leans back while moving away. Fury realised this and used it to maneuver Wilder into his right hand. Throw the jab make him lean back and move to his left into Fury's right hand. But if Wilder learns to slip inside the jab, not only does he prevent Fury maneuvering him into his right hand, it get's Wilder in range to land his right hand.

Another thing he needs to do is disguise his right hand better. Right now he throws it from below his chest, Ben Davidson said he realised this and devised the strategy in the first fight to jab and feint to make Wilder raise the right hand where he can't throw it. So Wilder needs to learn how to throw the right hand from higher up, so Fury can't anticipate it as well. He also needs to learn to catch and counter from that higher position that will help deter Fury from stepping in with the jab and give Wilder more space to move forward.

He needs to get rid of the bad habit of extending his arms out to defend himself, that's what saw him dropped in the 3rd. That might work to keep smaller men away or guys throwing straighter shots, but against Fury's left jab/hook hybrid shot and over hand right that won't work. He needs to utilise a more traditional guard.

He needs to also learn to stand more side on when Fury attacks to he can utlise an elbow to push Fury off him up close, as Fury clearly had an advantage in the clinches.

Wilder WILL NEVER be able to get rid of his mental weakneses.

This guy was bricking himself before the fight. He lost 4 rounds of energy from nerves alone and the moment Fury slammed his jab into his face he was finished.

    He cannot beat Tyson Fury.
