If you think for one minute that I would condone Tyson taking a chunk out of Lennoxs leg and threatening to eat his children, his **** conviction (which I actually thought at the time was pretty flaky, but he was forever putting himself in those positions), wanting to put a guys nose through his brain, I don't or never have, but Mike Tyson was very much a product of his environment.

I'm sure Wilder didn't have the easiest of childhoods but, nothing anywhere near as bad as Iron Mikes which to my mind makes Wilders smack talk even more offensive as its more calculated, Tyson, more often than not was simply reacting the only way he knew how. Not excusing it, just more understandable.

one more thing to mention, I'm 46 years old and still practice Shirotyu Karate and am grading for my Heian Yondan (blue belt) after a 9 yr break. I last competed in a tournament in 2009 and prior to that competed in a few kick boxing bouts in spit and sawdust working men's clubs in my early twenties. Also dabbled in Tetsudo and Karate again as a youngster.

At no point did I feel compelled to threaten someone with permanent injury or receive such threats, despite breaking a kids nose after a particularly brutal matchup, we shook hands afterwards and parted amicably.

Wilder just increasingly comes across as a disrespectful, knuckle dragging scumbag, and there's no need. Threatening to cripple your opponent and gloating about it in front of his child is scum baggery of the highest order. It's indefensible no matter who it comes from, it just so happens that on this occasion its come from Wilder in a completely unprovoked manner, given he's supposed to be sealing the deal with Fury. Why bother FFS?

    Is that all?

Well despite what some morons who don't know dick about history might want to believe there has never been a time when boxing was a cordial affair. This idea youse seem to have where boxing is gentlemanly never existed. The Money Mayweather script comes from 1790.

I don't much care if a boxer says some ****. The only thing annoying about stories like this is all the ****s who say something to the effect of " It gives boxing a bad image" as if boxing had a better one at any point in history. This is a very mild controversial phrase by all accounts.
