    I think you greatly overated these 80s HWs. I lived through the 80s, most of them were pretty mediocre.

    That said, they all beat Wilder, and most of the probably knock him out cold. That's what a fraud and joke he is.

    dangerous territory playing a race/hate card to defend wilder...
    I think you'd be hard pushed to find one person of any race/colour/creed who wanted mike Tyson to be "polite and submissive" - and this has absolutely nothing to do with why wilder receives criticism

    I lived thru and boxed in the 80s. Yeah, I was blowing those guys up but they were all super talented and most had great amateur pedigree. And they would all destroy Wilder.

    Wilder Is a fraud and shouldn't critize a boxer in Mike Tyson who unified the belts and destroyed two hall of gamer fighters in Holmes and Spinks by the age of 22.
    Wilder turns 32 this month and so far has fought 1 top 10 opponent.

    Tyson is light years ahead of Wilder in talent and resume.
    Most of the fighters Tyson fought by 1987 beat Wilder.

    I'm sure the 1980's were a magical time to live in, but let's be realistic.
    Wilder would put em down like a plate of Alabama barbeque.

    People who call Wilder a fraud are either trolling or clueless.
    These are the same people who believe in conspiracies, and think that VADA and Wilder are scheming together to find PEDs on his opponents.

    I wonder if the seizure that Liakhovich had was fake.
    Or the hospital staff that worked on Spzilka. Must've been a show.

    Every single other HW, including Wilder, is a bum/fraud/loser."

    I can really feel the appreciation for these peoples sacrifices and abilities...

    What has Wilder got against Mike Tyson? Is he desperately trying to gain respect for his resume by pointing out the resumes of past greats? Wilder knows what we are all saying about him.

    Wilder "is" calling out Tyson. He wants a big name fighter to fight who hasn't boxed in the last 200 years. Wilder makes me want to puke!

    They're more talented than Wilder, no question. And even under-trained, and coked up, I'd still pick all of them to destroy this fraud.

    I see a lot of talk about 80's Heavyweights, some were decent, some were good, some were very good.

    I think it was a far more competitive division with more depth so it may have seemed a little better than it actually was.

    But in my opinion fighters like Frank Bruno would have knocked the snot out of Wilder.
