What do you guys understand as hardest puncher? The guy whose best shot has most physical power behind? Or the stylewise puncher guy (tyson, wilder, shavers, etc...) rated by his performance in the sport? I would not be surprised if Wilder is the one with hardest physical power in his fist, also because training methods have changed over decades and with special muscle and body rotation training + those supplementary drinks and shakes today's boxers use, I believe Wilder has more power than those HW in earlier ages. As for the performance in the sport, Wilder lacks too much in ability to be rated best.
He has a lot of power. But ever? He needs more fights against top guys to prove that. He punches hard. People sure go overboard today. I don't know if this is because of social media or what. There have been a lot of hard punchers in boxing. Foreman knocked out Frazier. Frazier!! Not Ortiz. Frazier, and he also stopped Norton. Liston. We are going to say Wilder hits harder than those guys because he stopped Ortiz with one punch or knocked down Fury? Let us not get carrier away.
