A lot of people on ESB say he's got a glass jaw and all, but if you see vs. someone like Molina, who landed some bombs on Wilders jaw, it only wobbled him momentarily and he didn't go down and went on to win the bout. Molina can KO people, as he showed vs. Adamek. Against AJ he didn't land anything, but how do we know how AJ would've taken those shots that Wilder took from Molina? We saw what happened to AJ when Whyte landed 1 left hook, he was almost out on his feet. Wilder's chin is not as bad as people think it is, we'll see in the future how he does vs. better opp.
His chin isn't that great, but he came in with his chin in the air. I notice as sloppy as Wilder is as a pro he keeps his chin tucked very well and doesn't take punches flush.
Well he's certainly not David Price in chin category. But I doubt he'll be able to take many punches from AJ, Wlad or other heavy hitters without going down and out
Here's the fight where he was almost ko'ed and saved by the bell against the great Harold Sconiers https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CVV6fqvUsAAT9Nf.png "2008 Olympic bronze medalist, Deontay Wilder...survived a major scare after having to rise from the canvas at the end of the second round after being floored hard by veteran Harold Sconiers. With only the second round bell saving Wilder from being knocked out"
I have been watching boxing a very long time (yes I am old) and so whilst I still don't know a damn thing about this sport.. nothing I have yet seen from Wilder tells me he could beat Joshua. Wilder is sloppy, he doesn't have good movement, he can bang.. but I think he has relied on that too much. Fundamental skills just seem to be missing with him.
Is the Scorniers fight online or has it ever been online? It's like Kovalev vs Boone 1, you would think a copy is out there somewhere. Probably filmed on a potato though.
No, I was in contact with the casino which held the match. I tried to obtain it from a friend of a friend, but they weren't allowed to release it.
Being regularly tagged by Molina is never a positive. The fact AJ avoided Molina's incoming fire - despite his lack of head movement - and Wilder did not, also is not a positive. You're making a great case against Wilder, however...
Maybe. Right now it's safest to say he's got an unproven chin. For all the ridicule, it appears fairly strong to the extent it's been tested to this point, but it hasn't really been tested. His unwillingness to face top he's gives people reason to doubt it
