Im sure the pressure and tension of the whole event got to him, maybe he froze / choked a bit. I'm sure he will be better in a rematch.
either that or the gypsy magic or god getting Fury up from the knock down. he keeps going on about not being able to throw the right hand or not being able to do what he usually does, doesn't it occur to him that Fury didn't allow him to? the man sounds a bit delusional
The version of Fury that Wilder agreed to fight was a cherrypick. I wouldn't have said it was a cherrypick gone wrong if he had fought an active and fighting shape Fury, who is obviously a challenge to anyone. The only reason Wilder agreed to fight him was because Fury was the man who beat the man, a recognized name, and having a victory over that guy, regardless of how out of shape he was, would've hopefully given him more leverage in the Wilder-Joshua negotiations.
Holy ****! I called it in the other thread! https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/wilder-excuse-thread.620776/#post-19575068 What a shitbag. Where is that Sepiroth sissy-boy to defend this one?
Tyson Fury was not out cold during the last knock down, he took his sweet time recovering is all. Enough of this supernatural BS.
Is there a link for that? Edit Just read it Its a shame Wilder wasnt as worried when he hit that mascot and im surprised he did so much celebrating when Fury went down in the 12th with so much concern.
“I started overthrowing my right hand because I really wanted to get him out of there,” Wilder said. “I started overshooting it, to the point where I started hyperextending my right arm. Elbow started hurting and everything.” I really wanted to get him out of there. I really didn't because I was scared of what my power might do to him, so scared that I was loading up with everything and swinging like a deranged spastic trying to take his head clean off all night. Has he tried to pull the ''I was deliberately missing with my punches'' excuse yet?
No, no he didn't, Wilder admitted as much, well contradicted himself on Joe Rogan when Rogan pointed out it is not up to Fury to make the count and Fury could well have got up quicker if the referee counted quicker. Fury has a count of ten to be on his feet, that count is administered by the referee, the referee hadn't reached ten and Fury was on his feet, he took every second he could. So the only way a fighter can be counted out is by the referee, so therefore Fury wasn't knocked out.
