even if fury schools him (which I don't think he will) wilder punch power always gives him a chance,

What champion doesn't have a rematch clause?

This isn't really news is it!

Or are we going to then post a thread saying Wilder has corner men in order to find another stick to beat him with and psychoanalysis why he feels the need to have a team.

If Wilder loses, I think Usyk would be a good fight in between the second Fury fight.

I wonder if the people who used to disparage the Klitschkos for their rematch clauses will likewise disapprove of Deontay Wilder?

I doubt the Povetkin fight happens. Povetkin has 2 fights left according to him and why waste it on Wilder who then wouldn't have a title and wouldn't be a draw. Povetkin would likely want a shot at Fury for the WBC title or maybe a fight vs Usyk in Russia which would be a big fight there.

Ortiz fight could happen but not sure how it helps Wilder. Ortiz is only ranked by the WBC and IBF. If Wilder loses and doesn't rematch Fury, then Fury's 2 next fights are pretty much guaranteed to be Joshua and his mandatory Breazeale. Beating Ortiz wouldn't get him a mandatory with the IBF as he's only ranked 8th by them and Pulev will get his shot first even if beating Ortiz does get him a top ranking. Even if he gets ranked 2nd by the WBC after Breazeale and ahead of Whyte he wouldn't get a mandatory shot until Fury or Joshua have dealt with Breazeale first, could be late 2020 before he's mandated a shot, longer if there is a Joshua/Fury rematch.

Wilder's options will be limited without the title. He won't get Joshua as only reason Joshua wanted to fight him was to become undisputed, Joshua focus will switch to Fury and then to Usyk. Wilder also not being a big draw will see him in a similar situation as Ortiz, too much risk for too little reward.

Who with a high ranking would risk fighting Wilder for a few hundred thousand. When Wilder had a belt he was paying guys 500K or less, with no belt he can't offer much more even if he's willing to reduce his own purse.

If Wilder loses he'll take the rematch because he has no other options that are as lucrative.

Of course he does, because his management knows how fragile his mandible is. He's probably been laid out cold multiple times in the gym preparing for this fight.

Of course, Fury's chin is china too, so he could get starched. But the very fact that there is a rematch clause shows that Wilder's management isn't entirely confident of winning.

    ??

There is always a rematch clause for the belt holder. This isn't something new.

This will be what is determined on December 1st. I will say this, however, although I think Wilder's power is ridiculously overrated, he does hit harder on Fury. So if the relatively light-hitting Fury KOs him, it will show his chin is FAR worse.

    Here's hoping it happens!!!

I have been thinking that since the Bellew fight - that a fight between Usyk and the loser of Wilder-Fury would be most intriguing.
