if he had hit a firefighter's fury popular among black Americans... they were very supportive of him in the rematch... the racial component sells in boxing more than in any sport

To be fair, not a bad number at USA PPV price. Fury - Chisora will do around the same. Helenius is also way better fight for Wilder, than Chisora for Fury.

Dang this actually does surprise me a bit. Thought he was popular enough to at least have a basement number of 100k or so.

    75k is crazy.

On a related note... I think I heard Ruiz vs Ortiz did even worse than that.

Sounds like someone is going to get bumped up to number one on Fury's list of desired opponents.

Easier to be racist against one person rather than a multiethnic team.

Most PBC fanboys stream the fights, so no surprises there.

Did they expect many people to pay that price for a dosser against a B-level boxer past his prime?

Rumours PBC are trying desperately to find a new network. They are losing money hand over fist on PPV as Fox completely cut their budget and rumours abound Showtime are closing down and leaving boxing.

You know this, I know this. Yet people never stopped rating this charlatan. Same goes for Hrgovic, Hunter, Zhang and Sanchez. They're rubbish.

So that’s 0.02% of the population of the USA prepared to buy a ppv for wilder.

And people slate Hearn for not offering wilder 50/50 to make the Joshua fight.

I’m amazed it did that much. A sparring partner against an employer coming off 3 losses on the trot, in reality, to a recovering, depressive, inactive opponent, who annihilated the bronze bomber in their last 2 fights.
Despite the Finn’s susceptibility to being kayoed by C and D grade opponents, it’s astonishing the acclaim Wilder has received from the general newsmen, podmen.Won’t use term, experts, journalists etc, doesn’t apply here!
Another dud looms up on 3rd December when the “real fighting man!” gives an old pal, a Xmas bonus!

Shame on the fans for turning they're backs on the bomb squad.
