Breland said himself, all he can do is teach. It's up to Wilder to take it and practice it, implement it. When you've been trying to show a guy for years how to properly throw punches and he still can't, it's on the fighter and his yes men, not the trainer.

 

As stupid as he is, he's got this one right (the Mayweather bit).

He ain't wrong. Floyd is fake AF. Look at the way Floyd works with Haney AND Duckvonta.

Breland done a terrific job with wilder as well. He knew wilder was limited. Trying to get him to fight any other way would have ended with him getting knocked out way before he got to fury.

Under breland it took a career best looking fury to derail him. Before that tho people had wilder down as one of the most dangerous and best men in the division....rightfully so as well. To do that with someone as limited as wilder takes some doing. I still say wilders a nightmare proposition for most.

Wilder relied a lot on using his reach and movement over opponents. Fury beat him to the punch and wilder fell apart from there...but not many will beat wilder to the punch. He actually controls opponents very well with his tactics.

 

Yeah you can. It's not Breland's fault Wilder is bull headed. Breland did his job, and got frustrated to the point where he aired his frustration publicly. Doesn't mean he shouldn't get paid. He did his job, and it's how he earns a living.

 

He's spot on with everything he said which is pretty shocking considering how outlandish some of his statements have been lately. Floyd does not appear to be sincere in his gesture but rather an opportunist looking for spotlight like always. And critics have been demanding that he change his training staff for years because clearly he hasn't been able to grasp decent fundamentals under them yet when he finally does those same critics bash him for it. All in all he just needs to make the best decisions for himself and just refrain from speaking until he has a fight to promote.

 

Wilder has the IQ of a 3rd grader, hard to even listen to him
