So does every rank amateur on his first day in a gym.

Ali succeeded in spite of that habit, not because of it.

Wilder does not have the natural talent that Tyson had, plus an inferior trainer. Wilder has not fought anyone. Helenius and Jennings finished off Lyakhovich. Wilder will not fight anyone ranked in the top 30. Let Wilder fight Stiverne, then the winner can get knocked out by Vitali. Vlad also said he was interested in fighting Wilder. After what Vlad did to Wilder in sparring for the Wach fight I give him no real chance. Vitali and Vlad have a superior defense over Lyakhovich, superior power, speed, stamina, superior chins, esp. Vitali. How is the Hell did Wilder get ranked in the top ten? This could be trouble for Wilder, Hell, he might be ordered to fight a real fighter..........

I would love to see him against someone like Wach or even Zack Page. I start to believe in this guy. He looks waay better than Jennings, Mitchell or any other prospect out there. Still can't believe the amount of **** he gets about his chin. He's young so it's easy to break him right now but c'mon. He'll get stronger, it's not his time yet. He's not british, his chin will be fine.

How about giving a little credit where credit is due?

Nobody would have been surprised if Liakovich would have won. Therefore Liakovich was obviously a Great opponent for Wilder and by scoring a first round Ko Wilder did as much as could possibly have been expected from him.

Given that a Liakovich win wouldn't have surprised anyone it's not like Wilder wasn't "stepping up". Now however one can have greater expectations of Wilder and hope that he faces a more meaningful opponent next time around.

can you imagine what boxing would look like if everyone faught textbook?

you learn the basics and then you develope how you develope.certain things work for certain fighters.look at vitali...i had friends over for his fight with arreola and they were like my god that big dude looks so stiff and awkward like a robot.he's champion? they asked... yes i said...he looks like sh** but he's very effective. we all just :rofl are a**es off.

oh and i disagree about ali

pulling back was part of his style

he wouldn't of been ali without it

same goes for vitali's funky style with his left arm down by his knee

The same can be said of Tyson's first twenty-something fights.

He's fought tomato cans up to this point in his career. he shouldn't even mention Iron Mike's name, he hasn't done anything to deserve any type of comparisons with a prime Tyson.
