“Y’all can quote me on this,” Wilder said. “Y’all can put this on paper. Y’all can put this at the top of the headlines, because the way I’m feeling about boxing right now, if Bermane Stiverne beats me I will retire. You can put that down. I will be out of the way. Boxing ain’t gotta worry about me no more [if I lose], because it ain’t really doing me no good anyway. Nobody don’t really wanna fight.

“All I wanted to do is prove that I am the best and the best don’t wanna fight, so what’s the point of me being in this sport? If Bermane beats me … if he beats me, y’all don’t have to hear about me no more. I’m done. That’s how serious it is. It don’t get no [more] serious than that. So let the games begin.”

Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KOs) reiterated during the conference call Tuesday that he was “sick” when they fought the first time. Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) dismissed Stiverene’s claim that dehydration hindered him when they fought at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and criticized the Haitian-born, Las Vegas-based contender for making excuses.

I hope he retires now. If he thinks he has done enough where he will be remembered if he retires he should retire now. Bonecrusher Smith did 10 times what this guy has done.

He'd better watch out. I think Stiverne's been practicing Sumo strikes.

’m a very dangerous fighter,” Wilder told *******.com. “And they know that if he comes at me, a very dangerous fighter, I can mess up their whole operation. I can bring it all to the ground and that’s why they’re stalling. That’s why they’re stalling with all this, ‘Fight Dillian Whyte’ and all that. That’s not gonna do nothing, because once we get in the ring, it’s over and they know it.”

It’s not about money. It’s not about that. It’s easy for people to say, ‘Oh, he’s just trying to’ – no, I’m trying to prove that I’m the best. With that being said, I want the best. But the best don’t wanna take the risk with me because I’m a very dangerous fighter.”

    Mr Deontay Dangerous Wilder

At least he acknowledges he's not the best

The thing is, if he's so dangerous why isnt he mopping the floor with Dillian Whyte ?

Then why is he wasting his time fighting a bloke who he’s already comprehensively beaten for a quarter of the purse he’d receive Vs Whyte.

I will name my first born Bermane if he chins Wilder and ends the pitiful stream of "woe betide me" nonsense media statements.

He's whining more than Tyson Fury these days FFS.

Let's hope Wilder has been lacking in training and now is over confident from his title defenses. WarBermane

I used to like Wilder he's a huge disappointment.

I always took Wilder as the type of fighter who would quit if they lost, any reasonable fan knows he's a fraud and all that he has going for him is his cherrypicked 0 loss record.
