Wilder is correct because he will wait until either Joshua or Wlad collects all the others and then fight who is ever left standing, that doesn't mean he said he would win and unify all the belts he just said it would bring him closer to doing it. lol

I think his meaning for "close" isn't the same as the rest of us...

Maybe he's using 'close' like, close the door. ;)

Wilder beating the 'regular' WBA champion wouldn't be unifying. That isn't how it works.

That won't stop Wilder claiming a fight against whoever that is as a unification. If you can claim shot to pieces short notice Arreola is a world class opponent with a straight face then you can certainly try and pass off some regular or former regular title holder as legit.

Wilder is a shill. Sounds like a politician talking about one thing, then in reality he does 180 degrees the opposite.

Wilder is a G, he's already unified in my book.

Yep. That's the plan. Called this well over a year ago just like Wawrzyk that they will immediately pounce on whichever decrepit hasbeen manages to pick up that belt. Hopefully the Klitschko/Joshua winner gets the fight though, at least they'll actually pursue big fights down the line.

Let's hope he fights Parker after Washington. He's just given people no reason to believe he would do that, and every reason to believe he'll just wait around for a cash out fight against AJ. I could actually see Wilder having a chance against AJ or Wlad, if he unifies a belt and sets himself up as a semi coequal. But he's shown no ambition for that, and I think he'll come into such a fight as a massive underdog, without the experience and confidence he'd need to win.
