Shaw says Wilder-Jennings will not happen!

No way will Wilder fight Jennings..........................Wilder has said that he would not fight Povetkin and the WBC appears to be going against their own rules to do what Wilder wants and that's fight another bum...................Wilder will never fight anyone who can fight back...........................I said that a long time ago.......................he won't fight Vlad either, not matter how much money they will pay him to fight and Hrunov will win any purse bid, he is a billionaire, so the fight will happen in Moscow.....................but it appears that Wilder will not show up.................

Wilder does have some advantages over Jennings but skills isn't one of them.

Boxing ability Jennings wins hands down.

He could have said I have much more power or I have much better management. Show you how delusional he is because of his good management..

It is all moot really as he won't be getting in with Jennings anytime soon, way too much of a live opponent for a risk..

say what you will....Wilder has the best series of "windmill punches" that I have seen since the sixth grade. And those were thrown by a girl.

Why do you make up BS? Wilder never said he would not fight Povetkin. He said he didn't want to wait on him till the middle of the year an if Povetkin couldn't go by January he wanted another fight. You can interpret that as ducking him if you want to, but Povetkin is just as responsible for scheduling the fight with Wach. He even went back on what he said, cause after the Perez fight Povetkin said his immediate focus was taking that WBC title. He could have started negotiations for the Wilder fight and more or less forced him to go if he wanted to, but he scheduled Wach.

As for Jennings, I see no way Wilder is afraid of him. I like Jennings but he is not a big puncher. The main knock on Wilder is a questionable chin, If he was to duck someone it would probably be a puncher.

Is there a more embarrassing bandwagon to be on that the Wilder hypetrain? I can't wait for it to be derailed not because I particularly dislike Wilder - although I despise the way he's gone about his pro career - but just to shut up the idiots hyping him up to be something he's obvious not.

Na Jennings has beaten better fighters and is very intelligent despite being fairly new to boxing compared to most and not being a big puncher. Jennings would beat Wilder anytime. He'd diffuse the brown bomber. It'd be a good fight tho.

Sounds to me like Wilder is a bit sensitive about his skill level.

I give him points for a few things but skill level is not what got him to where he is and I don't think we'll ever be waxing poetic about Wilder's tight defense, fancy footwork or tactical prowess.

First off, its bronze bomber. Joe Louis was the Brown Bomber.

And second, why would Jennings beat Wilder? And who are these superior fighters he's beaten? He did well against Klitchko I will give him that. He took some of Wlad's best shots and stayed upright, that is nothing to sneeze at. But he never really threatened him. He probably wasn't ready for Wlad. I think Jennings could be another Holyfield, he could still have a good career ahead of him.

But I see nothing to indicate he would beat Wilder. If you still think Wilder can't box after the Stiverne fight than I don't know what else to tell you. Wilder is clearly going to have to beat Povetkin, Wlad, Fury, or Joshua before he gets any respect at all looks like.

Well, come to think of it Perez,Szpilka and Fedosov are far better than any opponent-with the exception of Stiverne-Wilder has faced so far.
And I for one would bet my money-well,if forced of course:D-on either Fedosov or Perez against Stiverne. And even Szpilka would not be a huge underdog against StiverneIMO.
All in all Jennings' record is actually better than Wilder's one.Amazing!
    Wilder the champ,eh!:-((

I really like the h2h matchup for Jennings, his strengths go well with Wilder's weaknesses I think, it would be about 50 50 for me.

But, if you look at arguably their top 4 opponents:
    Stiverne > Perez
Scott = or slightly lesser than Szpilka (would dramatically change if he pulls off the upset against Thompson)
    Duhaupas > Fedosov
shot White Wolf = shot White Wolf

And Wilder beat all four better than Jennings did their counterparts. Wilder has the better resume, unless you count a noble loss against Wlad as positive on his resume.

Huh? That's way off base, and it can actually be deconstructed. Perez's best win: Abdusalamov, who's best win was shot McCline who still kd'd him before losing (Scott drew with Glaskov, G's best win was Adamek, who beat Arreolla, who beat a much better version of McCline more decisively, Arreolla lost to Stiverne)
Fedosov? His best win was ??? Shot Mo Harris? More prime version was beat by Sosnowski, who was beat by Johnson, who was beat by Charr, who was beat by Duhaupas (wow, Fedosov's really slumming there)
Spilka? His best wins were against either shot Adamek or shot McCline, both of whom we've gone through above.

And those are the best wins for Jennings top three, their record is even worse in comparison to Wilder's top 3 victims if you really want to get in depth. Really grasping at straws to say they are better than Wilder's opponents.

Good post, agree with all of it, except I'd say he needs to beat Povetkin or Wlad next to get it. If he loses to either one, which would probably happen, his haters will never let that go, even if he beats other top hw's like Jennings after and even though that's really a tough standard to judge someone on.
