I'll be rooting for Fury, but this is a challenging sytle matchup for him even if he is still him. I'm still giving him a 40% chance though.
Cunningham easily was schooling him. fury ended up winning by laying on him until Cunningham wore down.
Tyson Fury runs like a thief and pot shots from the outside, but Wilder catches up with him and lands that big rightie on the button and then its lights out.
Even this version of Fury will still be able to make Wilder look amateurish and awkward at times for a few rounds and then the hammer will fall and there will be a lot of people staring down at him waiting for him to wake up while Wilder straps the belt on.
So what you all gonna say when America's number 1 HW is starched by a fat gypsy who has fought twice in about 3 years?
If Fury of the Klitchko fight shows up, he toys with Wilder. But that Fury won't show up though ... so we will see
I just don't get why MVC doesn't appreciate the boxing master Fury over the sloppy windmilller Wilder. I think Wilder is made for a fully fit, in form Fury. The Fury who outboxed Klitschko embarrasses Wilder. Stays away from Wilder's power and lands first and last with straighter punches. Of course this fight is intriguing now because that Fury could well not be ready for December. Will Fury have the conditioning to use his legs for 12 rounds? Will he have the reflexes and timing to avoid Wilder's power and maintain his distance? If Fury's not close to his best Wilder probably lands his power, and not just beats Fury but destroys him.
I see an in shape Fury is as being faarrr superior in boxing skill to Wilder. It really isn't even close. Boxing is, however, a game of inches when avoiding punches and having rusty reflexes and being out of shape doesn't bode well for a title match for Fury. I really don't even want to see Fury fight for a title. He doesn't deserve it yet. Whyte? Definitely.
In all fairness there is a more than valid excuse that would simply have to be made for it in that Tyson isn't ready for this fight in December time. I can tell you now that if Wilder KO's him (which I believe will happen if the fight goes ahead in December), then I'll be making that point. But that's because I just have to say that there is no other outcome than a Tyson Fury UD via a schooling if both are totally fight fit and have the right amount of recent fight activity behind them. Fury of the Klitschko win is too slick, far too slick for them windmills. But as much as I'm as big a Tyson Fury supporter as any other on this forum, as it stands I think he isn't going to be at that 100% in time, and truth is maybe he was never going to get back there again anyway, I have no idea, and it really will probably be a Wilder KO victory once Fury makes a mistake to give an opening.
Bit of a bizarre comment this one? Think it's pretty well accepted that he's the best mover in the division by a long way
