I always said "I'll give Wilder credit for taking this fight when I actually see him in the ring".

Considering what the drug actually is and how low the levels are, he should tell the WBC to let the fight go on.

 

I suspect he will use this as a excuse to drop out of the fight even if WBC rules that the fight goes on as planned.

 

Remember how some people thought Wilder would be getting a humongous payday for this fight?

Well, he still just may, just not in the way we'd originally envisioned lol. If I were Wilder, I'd tell them to cut me another $5-10 million. Both for taking the risk and doing them all a favor by not pulling out and wrecking the event.

 

I hope not. It's a roughly $5 mil payday against a 37 year old with nothing legitimately performance enhancing in his system. If anything, this result should give Wilders team full confidence in the quality of the VADA testing being conducted.

I realize a lot of the "AA" posters on here see this as the big lucky break for Wilder to get out of fighting someone halfway decent but I really hope to see this fight.

That extra 10% would be a lot cheaper for the promoter than cancelling the event at this point.
