I tried to counter a lot of the over the top stuff that was said about Wilder for a long time, but I'm over it. Assuming he doesn't face a fringe top 10 opponent (who he hasn't already beat) in January, which appears all but certain now, I'm through even trying to be "reasonable". His resume is easily top 5 in the division, but one should expect more from a legit TITLE holder. Duhaupas was a decent opponent, in himself not an unworthy foe, fringe top 20-25, on par or above the Mormecks, Pianetas, Charr's of the world. But for the K's and most fighters, that type of opponent is a stay busy, take it easy fight, among their worst defenses. It looks like that will actually be the BEST fight out of Wilder's first three title defenses (unless you count rematching a higher ranked guy who he already beat definitively). I've taken a quick look at the worst title defense stretches I could think of, and of them, this would be the WORST THREE DEFENSES in HW history! Add in to that he doesn't even give his opponents full training camps. That's just inexcusable.

Wilder is a con artist, there was no reason not to negotiate with Povetkin after Molina fight, he refused, there was no reason not to negotiate after Duhaupas fight, yet he refused again and now he still wants to proceed with his joke of a fight in Jan.

    **** him.

You should blame Glazkov pulling out of the fight a few days before it was officially announced.

That was a coward move by Glazkov and Duva.

Not hus fault glazkov will earn more menu not figting from step aside money than in actually fighting wilder. If Wilder's team didn't offer embarrassing money for world title fights it wouldn't have happened

Exactly. They gave a lowball offer and let it go much too late before locking it down. Team Wilder has no one to blame but themselves. I'm sure they could still get Carlos Takam or even Perez if they really wanted.

There's a higher chance that Fury will dump the IBF belt.

How much do you think Glazkov will earn against Charles Martin for a vacant IBF belt? :D

Since its a 50-50 split more than he would get vs wilder. Wilder opponents get between 100k and 200k. British title fight have had purses of 5 times that before

Even minimum purse bids would give him more than he would make against wilder

These excuses only go so far. I was willing to give him some slack for a long time. But now he's about to have the three WORST consecutive title defenses in history. Can't blame anyone but himself and his team for that, at the end of the day.

Team Wilder knew Glazkov is IBF mando and had a great interest in outcome of Klitshcko-Fury fight.

They should have given him a deadline before Nov 28th, by giving him so much time to decide they left themselves exposed.

His best action now is to scrap his Jan 16h bum fight and negotiate with his mandatory, Ryabinsky said he's more than willing to fight in US and Povetkin said he's ready in April, plenty of time for training camps and the event promotion.
