I was the biggest Wilder hater, I thought it was laughable that he was a HW champeen.

But lets face it, Wilder beats 99% of the heavies out there and does so comfortably.

Wilder, Joshua, Klit, Povetkin, Parker, Ortiz would all struggle when fighting each other.

None of the current 'top' heavies would have an easy time with Wilder.

He's fast, has good reach, decent power and a decent chin. But the no.1 reason why Wilder is difficult is he's ungainly and arkward. People won't have fought his style before because his technique is so shocking. Wilder confuses people. That is his main strength.

I'm no longer a wilder hater. I've accepted the fact that the hw scene is in transition and Wilder is up there with everone else.

since when did boxing become a claim game rather than what you did. "beats 99% of them outthere".

Then why has he only fought one of them? Because this American is the New Klitschko, minus a brother to save him.

I meant he beats everyone apart from the top 5 or so easily which is true.

Hardly any of the top heavies have fought each other.

People I think likely beat or have a very good shot at beating Wilder.

    1) A returning Fury should he ever make the effort again
    2) Wlad
    3) Joshua
    4) Parker
    5) Ortiz
    6) Povetkin
    7) Haye
    8) Pulev - overrated as he is he'd be a considerable step up for Deontay.

There are 8 opponents there, none of which I believe he'll voluntarily fight.

and it follows that since they haven't fought each other, you don't know even MORE surely who would beat who.

I don't know who would beat who at the top of the tree, i'm not claiming to. Do you not have thoughts or opinions on who would win between certain fighters without them having to actually fight?

My point was the heavy weight scene is ****. There is, say, a top 8 max who are all about as good as each other. Wilder would have a chance with any of them and he would beat everyone else NOT in this top 8 easily.

Why the aggro man? What's the beef? Chill your beans.

I'm by no means a Wilder hater I just think when he's not focused he's extremely flawed however still athletic, mobile and dangerous. Wilder had stretches in his fight with Stiverne that impressed the hell out of me,,,, his focus, execution, movement distance etc. all impressive. Then he does stuff that befuddles the sheet out of me.

Wilder has a better resume than Parker, Joshua, Ortiz and Pulev.

I don't even like Wilder for god's sake but he isn't worse than any of the above.

Exactly. I genuinely think other pro boxers are befuddled by Wilder. He's like a new born giraffe stumbling about, hooves flying dangerous in all directions.

Boxing's HW enigma.....I think him not fighting Pov has hurt his rep, though not completely his fault as flawed, raw and unpredictable as he is I believe he had a good shot at beating Pov. Everyone questions his chin and they may have a legit point but one thing is for sure when he is hit he doesn't really shy away the guy fights,

I genuinely belive Wilder is more athlete than fighter. I think if you can get past his jab and right hand there is every change his chin can be cracked. Somoen durable rather than a puncher is probably all that's needed. He was hurt by Molina who could have had him gone.

Always thought Fury's movement would have him off balance and thus reduce his power and that would leave him vulnerable.

AJ is so upright that it would be shoot out.

He probably takes a little too much guff on here...I don't blame him for waiting until the Povetkin situation got figured out even though I really wanted to see that fight.

That said, I wish his team would ramp up his level of opposition. Taking care of a few dozen cans to develop doesn't bug me - a lot of guys, including Foreman, did that. But Arreola as a replacement was a disgrace considering numerous better fighters were ready and willing to step in, and Wilder was still in good shape from the Povetkin camp.

There's no reason he shouldn't be facing top 10 guys consistently and a top 5 guy at least once a year from here on out.
