Wilder is scared to fight Povetkin?

Wilder is C level but hoping he gets the two best fighters to retire or slip in Povetkin and Wlad who are both close to 40 if not over it. Wlad will be 41 at the earliest if they ever meet. Wilder is a stop gap nothing more.

I'll clear this debate up...since I can call myself an impartial judge.

Povetkin based on all information available to the public was tested numerous times leading into the fight date with Wilder. All but one of these tests were clear. The test that wasn't was at the absolute lowest end of what the current technology can test at. 1 millionth of a microgram. The issue is that the drug was legal and then considered illegal...but testing hasn't taken place to understand the length of time for it to get out of a human body. We are talking 1 millionth of a mg. That is a ****load of zeros.

Wilders team rightly flew back home to wait on official rulings. After all they were spending loads of cash to base a team in the UK. The issue is the level was that low from the tests that the WBC are probably scratching their heads on what to do. They are probably got a number of human guinea pigs getting tested to determine what should have been sorted around the time the ban was implemented.

What doesn't look good is that a well past it fighter was catapulted into a top 15 rank for Wilder.
What doesn't look good is that Wilder could lowball this fighter with a short camp and 10% purse.
What doesn't look good is the WBC still hasn't ruled regarding the Povetkin fight months later.
What doesn't look good is that Wilder is now injured so the fight will be postponed for months if it goes ahead at all.

All the while Wilder keeps saying he wants to fight the best...while not understanding the word hypocritical.

Yep, there has been some avoiding.

Right now the WBC has the perfect situation to correct the situation.

With the injury, name Wilder champ in recess and let Povetkin fight for the belt with the next higher ranked fighter.

Wilder then can remain champ of some sorts while being free to do whatever he wants. Maybe he can go for Fury, Joshua or Klitschko before Povetkin.
He can continue to fight B-C level opponents as well while waiting for Povetkin to be dethrowned.
