Built up A pee poor record and will get shown soon. 0 chin 0 skill 0 intangibles Parker probably lays him out worse than Nichols did LOL
Bruno and Wilder are nothing alike. Wilder relies on his stamina and can be explosive when he wants to. Bruno relied on his jab and power, but he often wouldn't pace himself and gassed out. Joshua also has the same problem of not being able to pace himself for a whole fight with gassing. If anything Joshua is the modern day Frank Bruno. Joshua fights similar to Bruno, but Bruno fought way better competition than Joshua and had a much better Jab. Joshua was getting bullied at time and easily countered by Parker. Bruno would never let someone like Parker, who can't punch and is slow counter him at will like Parker was doing to Joshua. A prime Frank Bruno beats everyone in Joshua's resume.
Wilder would beaten Bruno because both of them relied/rely on reach and power, Wilder is harder to get at because of his longer reach, Ortiz would have beaten Bruno and Wilder handled being in trouble much better than Frank ever did.
Parker and Josh are far quicker than Frank was and Bruno couldn`t counter punch what effected Parker`s counters was AJ`s reach which is longer than Bruno`s was and that`s why AJ would of beaten Frank quite easily there is no way Frank could of beaten Wlad even at 41! He certainly couldn`t have come back from that knockdown, Wilder has better stamina than AJ because he doesn`t throw as many shots, during the first five rounds of the Ortiz fight he threw even less punches than AJ did v Parker and was losing the fight as Frank would also be losing to Ortiz Parker would beat Carlos because his hand speed was quicker.
Thing is with Bruno, he was physically gifted but didn't have a mentality for fighting imo. He had a wicked left jab though and right hand. Wilder will go down fighting, Frank couldn't. Do you remember the fighters they lined up for Bruno after taking a loss lol, ffs, worst in history..Your quite right though, he also had zero intangibles
Bruno had no technique just kept you at range with his long reach and pawing jab, he rarely threw combo`s and was too slow to counter punch, Wilder is quicker and even better at keeping you at range by keeping his lead extended Frank would never of got by that to get in range.
With one difference: Frank Bruno was wildly popular in Great Britain. A national hero. There were computer games such as "Frank Bruno's boxing" back in the 80s that kids played. That's how huge he was. Wilder is completely unknown in the US. He can't get any media attention nor any endorsement deals. He's just not charismatic enough.
Bruno was a very hard man to outbox, good boxers had to crack that chin to get the better of him. I actually cant think of anyone a head of Frank in a fight before the inevitable
