Why does it matter? Cause the judges at the time of the stoppage were scoring the fight like this : Glenn Feldman 85-84 | Kevin Morgan 85-84 | Carlos Ortiz Jr 85-84 for Wilder, which was ridiculous. It was really fishy. Cause clearly the first four were for Ortiz , okay maybe one could've been given for Wilder. But before the second KD, Wilder was in survival mode for 3 rounds.
Well a lot of rounds from 2-4 were close. I gave him one, it is possible to give him 2. So 5-4 going into the 10 is possible. Ortiz only dominated the 1st round 2-4 there were definitely 2 close rounds in there because not much was going on And SCORES DONT MATTER WITH WILDER WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE GOING TO RECOGNIZE THAT? He left Stiverne off the hook in the 1st fight because he wanted to "box". He's a different fighter now.
Yes I’ve been a critic of Wilders for some time but I could always tell the difference between what the fans thought and his peers, boxers and promoters alike have tons of respect for him and it can’t be just that he has power as that alone wouldn’t of got him so far, there’s long been an opinion that he fights down to the level of opposition he’s facing.
Man don't caps lock me I am not a Wilder hater or whatever. Scores doesn't matter with Wilder ... lol The only time I saw Wilder actually boxing was in the first fight with Stiverne. Props to Wilder for his power, but that's it ... he doesn't have anything else. "Different fighter" ... !?!?!? Yes he is improving, but he looks like he fights in the pub.
My bad I'm pumped lol. I just literally watched the fight. Wilder doesn't care about scores anymore. He literally just sets you up for that right hand from round 1. He's did it in the last 5 fights literally lol. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMB SQUAD.
I can definitely see it , he doesn't care about scores, since he doesn't throw punches in the first three rounds. It was the same against Washington too. He just waits for the right moment to use his power, but I feel like he gets easily counter punched and he knows that. Idk what is going to happen when he faces Joshua, both fighters have flaws.
I promise you Joshua will get knocked out. Wilder is 33, he's in his tail-end of his prime right now. Is Hearn going to wait till he's 35+?
Yes i think his right hand bailed him out. No good boxers tactic should be to let their opponant keep picking off the rounds. No good Boxer should hold such a big reach advantage and get outjabbed and out boxed on purpose looking for a 10th round stoppage.
It was like watching a heavyweight Wilfred Benitez..... Seriously though great finish and he showed grit to get through that round where he was out on his feet.
He's not doing it on "purpose" you idiot. He's not a traditional boxer. His gameplan is to set up the right hand. He has to pay a price to do that which usually means he gets outboxed. If you think Wilder just gets bailed out by lucky shots and not shots that he sets up, then Wilder is luckier than lottery winners.
How about that fight aye guys... that was a damn good fight man. I hope Parker and Joshuas fight is just as good but for now, thats the best heavyweight fight Ive seen in awhile.
