I didn't really believe this fight will even happen before I see both guys in the same ring. No way Wilder would beat Povetkin, too risk fight for him. We all know Wilder is hiding a glass jaw.
I wondered how long it would be before people started finding ways to blame Povetkin's stupidity on Wilder.
I was always extremely skeptical that this fight would happen as well. However it falls on Povetkin. I don't blame him as much as many posters on here do, I think this whole meldonium fiasco has politics behind the banning of it more than actual physical advantage. To me this is not the same as Lucas Browne with clenobutral in his system or Tony Thompson etc. Shame only ones that get hurt are Povetkin and Wilder. They lose out on the payday the fans lose out to see if Wilder All hype etc.
they are getting like more than 5 million for this fight. whats more important money or health? oh fug. i sound like floydatsch
I can see both sides of the story because if you test for something that is banned and the fight goes on, why test at all. However on the other side, I don't believe their is sufficient evidence to ban Meldonium coupled with the fact that it was such trace amounts that couldn't possibly give an advantage and may have been taken before the ban went into effect I think an excemption should be made to allow the fight to proceed. Lot of money for both fighters to lose out on. The banning of this medicine was designed to affect one country that is clear to me Russia. Which is patently unfair when it has yet to be proven it aides their athletes.
Maria Sharapova took meldonium for 10 years straight. Wilder is scared to fight her too though, to be fair.
