--Wilder got outboxed 4 rounds by soccer holigan Washington who started boxing in his 30s. --Then in 5th round Wilder somehow landed lucky punch and his personal referee stops the fight too early. And whats more bad is that Washington didn't even have proper training camp to train. He took the fight in 3 weeks notice LMAO.
Wilder is not the only boxer in the division to start slow. But the fact that he allows his opponents to outbox him may cost him much if he ever steps up.
That stoppage? Those windmills were blowing a lot of air onto Washington's face.......but hurting him?
The knockdown and the TKO wasnt that great IMO. It wasnt devastating but it did remind everyone of the power of Wilder.
3 weeks! Sounds like he was prepared, then! .... compared to Wilder's other opponents, I mean. Usually a 2 week camp is de rigeur.
37 lucky knockouts, make a thread with some analysis next time, this is the same as a GGG hate thread
Naw. Wilder's KO's are legit. Soccer hooligans, pastry chefs and carnival fat men everywhere live in fear of Deontay Windmillo.
I know this is a hate thread, but Wilder (to me), did indeed look "bad" tonight. Washington kind of exposed a major deficiency he has right now <-- more on this later. Perhaps Wilder could barely spar leading up to the fight due to his hand & arm recovery or something... only his truly camp knows. His balance and defense were terrible tonight. He also didn't look as well-conditioned as usual. Two things: 1. That ref should never work a "title" fight again. 2. Somebody needs to teach Washington how to tie his man up when he has to. Not to excessively clinch, but to tie up in the event that he's got a guy wildly flailing away at him trying to force a stoppage.
