I am sure his trainer said wilder has a very fast metabolism and really struggles to maintain weight they tried various methods but he cannot put on and maintain weight effectively.

Fast metabolism is just another term for under eater. That's his big issue he simply doesn't eat enough along with his training to add muscle. When he did talk of bulking up he went to 228lbs but he simply couldn't maintain the calorie intake and went back to his under eating ways and so his weight has dropped.

Personally the weight he's at isn't really the issue it's more the fact he's not consuming enough to support his training which obviously is less than optimal.

That's possible, though I think he's been on the gear for a while now. He looked massive for the Szpilka fight and refused drug testing for that bout. This might be more of a case of Wilder coming off the gear and reverting to his natural size, although it could equally well be the result of a different cycle that his team haven't quite got right yet. The only other possibilities are some sort of wasting disease or drug addiction of some kind. None of the options exactly look promising.

How did they do it for the Szpilka, Duhaupas and Molina fights then? He was around 229 for those fights and highly muscular.

He is 6´7. Him being 230 makes sense.
I wouldn't attribute his weight gain to PED use. No amount of PED's will give you such a muscle gain without at change in ones workout routines.
But since that time, he has been coming in lighter and lighter each fight. If the trend continues then something fishy is going on. Either it's PED related, or someone in his team is seriously ****ing up his diet and fitness routines.

    Yep.

    229 for Molina
    228 for Duhaupas and Szpilka.
    226 for Arreola
    223 for Washington
    221 for Stiverne
215 for Ortiz (claimed he was sick)
212 for Fury (blamed low weight on loss)

Very clear trend, though I have no idea at present what it means.

I think it's simple. Either PED's or someone in his team are doing a **** job.
Look at what happened to De La Hoya when he fought Pac.

Most people have no idea what they are doing when it comes to nutrition. He is definitely not eating right.
