Wilder main goal was to build his profile of Joshua's name you honestly thought he wanted the fight?

Really don't see how anyone could find a way to score the Joshua fight for Parker but sort of expected his first fight to go the distance to have a false controversy attached to it. Wlad was clearly way better than anyone Wilder was willing to fight - Wilder shamelessly wanted no part of the Wlad you speak of.

And FWIW I think Joshua is due a big upset KO loss at some point, I'm not a fan of him as a person and don't care if he loses. In fact Hearn's reaction to the millions being sucked down a black hole as Joshua stares up at the lights will be priceless but Wilder still has a joke resume and a history of not making big fights.

Doesn't really look like either want it at the minute but Povetkin is a much better fight than any fight Wilder has ever had bar one and that's debatable.

Wilder does not want to fight Joshua, Joshua is too strong for Wilder and too skilled. Haymon would not allow Wilder to fight Joshua even if Wilder was not afraid to fight Joshua. Wilder has a big mouth, diarrhea of the mouth because he is afraid, very afraid..................

When CST80 says Joshua-Parker was a draw he lost his credibility there. Good points for Wilders poor resume due.

    More like this.
AJ did the Floyd BS offer. More like offer to make sure it gets rejected by Wilder then off to fight a cherry picked Sardine can.

You actually believe Parker won that fight? Even a draw would be a massive stretch, Parker got utterly dominated on the cards and rightly so. He was there to survive hence being in retreat mode the entire fight.

Ortiz was 38 years old though. We've literally never seen a fighter that old beat a young elite fighter since like Ray Robinson. That was in the the 1950s. Even Hopkins was only 36 when he beat Trinidad who was just a blown up Welterweight.

Old guys don't get it done in this sport. It's a young man's sport. And it always will be. They can look good against other old guys or non elites. But you'll never see an old ****er like Ortiz ever beat a top young fighter.

I always bring this up to my buddies. They say so and so can beat this guy and what not. And I'm just like, dude that's cool and all, but we never actually see old dudes beating top young fighters.

But yes I do tend to agree. Joshua almost got starched by Wlad and he would have been put out if Wlad wasn't getting close to AARP eligible. Ever since then he's been put on notice that the 0 can be taken if he fights somebody dangerous. Which is why he fought like a little pansy against Parker.

OP is autistic. AJ has no name in the US, that's why he was mistakenly called Anthony Johnson on US TV during the NBA finals. How to you build your profile on somebody who is unknown in your country? AJ's celebrity worldwide is painfully overrated as well, he's big in the UK but outside of that no so that wouldn't work either.

Well to be fair for any professional fighter to be mentioned during the broadcast of the NBA Finals is significant in today's boxing landscape. Even if their name was mispronounced. Boxing does not receive any type of media coverage.

In the United States there are 3 boxers who can headline a major boxing card. They are GGG, Loma and Canelo. One was just busted for PED's. Another is old and past his prime. And the other can't even get on PPV. That's the state of boxing's popularity here in America. It's a niche sport at this point. And that's how it's going to remain for the future.

AJ only got a mention on US tv because it's a potential 100 plus million dollar fight and that wouldn't be niche. It would bring boxing out of the hardcore niche that it is right now in the US. People just need to be introduced to new fighters in a way they'd be receptive to it. Not sure what your point is, the idea of Wilder using AJ to build his profile is just dumb and contrary to the facts. Boxing is a hardcore niche in the US but still viable, people just need to be introduced to current fighters in the proper way. These Wilder/AJ negotiations is just boxing shooting themselves in the foot, that fight would bring boxing to prominence. Such an easy fight to sell to casual audiences.

IB scored it a draw too, and unlike me, he had no axe to grind with AJ, so has he lost all credibility too?
