Wilder main goal was to build his profile of Joshua's name you honestly thought he wanted the fight?

Its not that hard, neither guy landed a hell of a lot clean, AJ looked he was landing bombs, but he actually wasn't, while Parker was connecting more, only his shots weren't remotely devastating looking. That's a scorers conundrum, but since I don't score shots that don't connect, AJ didn't get credit from me, it was a similar fight to Parker-Fury, which I scored for Parker by a point, and that was in a fight he went all out in some of the rounds, AJ wasn't going all out, he was playing it as safe as Parker was, a draw or a one point win in either direction is the right way to score a match in which glancing scuffing blows made up the difference.

This. If anything Hearn and Joshua are building Joshua's profile in the US by associating him with Wilder. Wilder's easily more well known in the US considering he's fought all over the country for years. Also, Wilder is already known in the U.K., since he fought there before.

Money talks, Wilder does not have it, BS walks and Wilder walked.

AJ is 8-10 times the draw that Wilder is and thats what matters. Stop pretending otherwise just to make yourself feel good at the expense of the truth.

Benard Hopkins beat Pavlik, washed him actually. That's 43 vs 26. So you're just wrong, don't use the word never, and nothing is absolute. In general it's true but at the highest levels. I'm sure you'll be saying the same thing for AJ/PEDvetkin right?

Thats good advice you telling him to keep a open mind to those absolute thoughts.

You should try it sometime when it comes to Wilder.

It was hard to score that fight cause while independently Parker could've won a lot of rounds, with those judges and location, he wasn't fighting the type of fight that could win a decision there. So it's hard not to use that BS criteria and actually watch and enjoy the fight. For instance, everytime AJ landed (relatively) clean, he wins the round and knowing that, and judging it, sucks.

And a damn near 50 year old Hopkins beat Pascal (again officially) who went on to beat the undefeated Elbiali and Gonzalez, Shumenov who went on to dominate BJ Flores, and Murat who went on to upset German top prospect Boesel. All of whom are under 35. And even though I despise the man personally, Stevenson legit beat Jack, by a point IMO, but a draw is fine, but... i no way did Jack beat him.

If this was his goal then he's done it a few times in the past, and it it'll have about as much success this time as it did then. It wouldn't surprise me if it was, actually. Wilder and his team have routinely displayed complete ineptitude and cluelessness in every aspect of his career that they might have thought that a tactic which failed multiple times before might magically work now. And yet this Breazeale fight, or whoever he's fighting that isn't Joshua, still won't be on PPV or draw anything more than mediocre numbers. And so the cycle continues, and Wilder gets another year closer to retirement.

Hmmm he's definitely built his profile off of Joshua's name that's not even debatable, the purse for Ortiz was 25% higher than his previous highest purse and his social media following has doubled.

But it's still a bit too premature to say Wilder is only using Joshua to build his profile. All this BS over negotiations might just be them building the fight for April, at least l hope so.

Hearn has always said the fight has a small window of happening, late 2018 to early 2019 before mandatory obligations might pile up to make it unfeasible. The Canelo/GGG fight scuppered late 2018 as an option.

If Wilder continues to stand by his choice not to sign because of the date of the fight when everything else he agreed to then yes it's safe to say he never wanted the fight and was just using Joshua for the attention and fame, something he clearly cherishes.

Pavlik was also dragged up 10 pounds and was on benders after beating Taylor. Pavlik was already washed up on booze by the time he fought Hopkins.

Actually Bernard has a history of dragging up smaller fighters.

But besides Ray Robinson point to me times when we have seen old guys beating top young fighters. Without dragging them up in weight.
