Insane to risk the biggest fight and the biggest payday in boxing — the biggest heavyweight fight since probably Lewis-Tyson (which was a farce but the general public didn’t realize Iron Mike was a rust bucket) — on the risk of losing (which could happen by cut, injury or a lucky punch, etc.) just to put it off for a couple months.

US is a Country full of 350M People. Much Bigger room for prices like that with a population like that. It's Simple Economics

he said they may relinquish, he also listed every option they have available, as that was the question. but you seem to have decided that the relinquishing part was the one that was definitely the option they were taking

Perhaps, but how many sales would they get if PPV prices were as low as say $40, would that mean a larger audience and help the sport regain popularity?

I just see it as all one big act. and for the past couple of months, throughout all the story changes, and all the back and forth, those details seem to be the only ones that stay the same

Why do you think they will go for a cheaper rate PPV? It’s for the Undisputed heavyweight title in Vegas, where the promoters have to pay AJ a guaranteed $50m before they see any money themselves in theory.

I don’t know the in and outs of US PPV, but im guessing you do so would be happy to get some more info from you.

$99(HD)which is the highest US PPV Price has only been done for Mayweather v Pacquiao and Mayweather v Mcgregor which done 4.6M and 4.1M PPV Buys Respectively. Joshua-Wilder their are questions if it will even do 500K. So no, it's not cheaper, the Standard Rate of PPV Prices in the US is between $50-$70 when you include the $10 Charge for HD aswell.

Cool, thanks for the info mate. I knew about the viewing figures for the Mayweather fights, but I thought the benchmark for PPV costs had now been lifted for major fights as a result. Cheers

Joshua looks like he's walking away from $50m to fight Wilder. Not a chance in hell that he will fight in Moscow.

Joshua is back-pedalling faster than Michael Jackson.

He’s an absolute imposter of a “world champion”. Tyson Fury went into Klitschko’s den and dominated Wlad from top to bottom. Joshua talks about “tricks” from US refs and judges.

Big Peter, Big John and Fat Mick had to deal with the cheating German ***** Boente tampering with the canvas to slow down Fury and the ridiculous point deduction. But they dealt with it like true fighting men, taking no bull**** and with Tyson doing the business in the ring.

Eddie Hearn, Rob McCracken and that fraud Joshua ought to take note and BE fighting men, true WORLD champions ready to defend the belt anywhere.

It will be without doubt the most shameless duck in boxing history if Joshua turns down the $50m offer.

just wait til its been confirmed that he has rejected it before accusing him. I aint an AJ nuthugger, but if he goes to USA to fight Wilder then he should get the plaudits as most fighters nowadays just look for the path of least resistance.

Both are just bigging up the fight however, IMO there is no way Wilder wants to miss this fight as he wont get anywhere near that kinda money. AJ will also make lots of money but if he can get all the belts then he becomes boxings no 1 star and I think his ego craves that.

Believe me if Joshua makes the fight I will give him full credit, especially if he beats Wilder legitimately.

If he insists on the fight being in the UK though, it should be clear that the sole reason why he is doing it is to have the judges and ref on his side, and not some pathetic grand gesture for his fans.
