Wilder showing great humbleness-cism. Hearn is probably still going to be a tool about it.

I was thinking 55-45. Thats quite generous of DW and if true shows he clearly wants the fight. I think he shouldve waited till after Joshuas fight before starting the back and forth publicly.

While 60/40 is a workable split he still wants a 60/40 split in the rematch in his favour which is basically another way of asking for 50/50 spread out over 2 fights. Of course Wilder actually has to win the first fight to get the rematch and the bigger split but even in a rematch Joshua is the bigger draw.

The fight is still some way from happening next in my opinion. Hearn has a clear set plan for 2018, Parker, Povetkin or Miller and then Wilder. If Wilder really wants to be next he has to convince Hearn to abandon his plans and that will require more than basically a 50/50 split spread out over 2 fights.

Wilder priced himself out before with his 50/50 demand when Joshua was negotiating with Parker. He's going to price himself out again if he doesn't make further concessions regarding the rematch split. Maybe 60/40 for the first fight then 50/50 or 55/45 in the favour of Joshua for the rematch might get it done. But I suspect Hearn will squeeze more out of Wilder like they did with Parker.

I don't know think it's generous at all, in fact I think 40% should be the standard for this kind of situation. Wilder brings nowhere near that split of revenue to the table but he has a belt; and that needs paying for.

40% is the absolutely maximum Wilder can ask for given number of belts and respective purses, and is a good starting point. He must know that Hearn doesn't want the fight despite claiming otherwise; it's Joshua who decides if it'll happen. Wilder needs to make realistic requests if he wants the fight.

Id rather hear what Wilder, Haymon say to Hearn when they meet after the Joshua Parker unification. Im not to interested what he has to say to some tabloid newspapers. He hasnt stopped talking for about 18 months and has contradicted himself about twice a day. He may say 60-40 but there will be alot of conditions that go with that.

Joshua still needs to get the job done against Parker 1st and then they can all sit down and talk about it until the realise the Americans will just have to accept the dirty end of the stick. Joshua is the A side against Wilder, Wilder is the A side against the people he has been fighting and he has been getting the better end of that stick, well this time he isnt and has to accept it. Hearn wont **** him over it he will still get an acceptable split (60-40 sounds good), he will certainly get more money than hes ever earned in a single fight and Joshua will be putting more belts on the line than Wilder is.

I hope this is not all just hype to sell their next fights, and that they actually intend on making the fight next.

HW boxing needs this fight for it to move on from the Wladimir Klitschko era. This will be the first mega fight at HW not involving Wladimir since he started his reign which lasted almost 10 years.

Joshua could box Charlie zelenoff at 4am UK time drunk out of his mind and make 5 times more than what wilder made against Ortiz. 70-30 is a fair split along the lines of what Parker got

Joshua at present is the money maker by a big margin, so if Wilder firstly truly wants the fight, and he truly believes he can win the fight, then surely taking say 30 per cent to AJs 70 makes financial sense, as if he wins which he says he would, then he would hold all the belts, hold all the cards in future purse bids and be known throughout the world (said before most folk here in UK do not even know who Wilder is).

Wilder i guess gotta ask himself does he want to be a big fish in a little sea and earn comparatively smaller purses for rest of his career, or take the percentage hit for this one fight (but still earn many multiples of any of his previous purses) and be the not so big fish financially in the bigger sea.

Wilder doubled his purse thanks too ortiz. He actually had a live name to put on the headline of the advertising board. Fight and beat Whyte and he doubles it again and starts too make a real case.

No chance. Hearn is playing them. Hearn wont let the fight happen until Wilder fights Dillian Whyte, garunteed. Hearn is a businessman. Joshua still makes a killing whoever he fights. For him there is no point of a Joshua vs Wilder or Whyte vs Joshua rematch until Whyte gets his shot at the WBC title, and he is already the number 1 contender waiting in line for his crack at Wilders WBC belt. If Hearn matches Joshua with Wilder next, who does he match for Whyte? Hell break his promise with Whyte to get him a shot, and Whyte will try and leave him. He hasnt been fighting for all these WBC minor belts and got himself to No1 for nothing. Expect a Dillian Whyte coup on Wilder when Wilder comes to the UK, if he beats Browne of course. Whyte will be following him around everywhere he goes. If Whyte wins, Hearn will make an absolute killing off Whyte vs Joshua 2. If Wilder wins, still good, he will have built that fight up even more. No shot for Wilder, not until he faces Whyte, the doing of Eddie Hearn.

70-30 sounds fair to me. Anything above 30 is too much!
