Nothing he has said explains why he just won't accept the April 2019 date.

He says he bent over backwards accepting every condition but that's not true he didn't accept the date of the fight. He had the offer for 4 weeks before saying yes, he had the contract another week before saying no to the April 2019 date. And that's the reality of it, he's the one saying no to the fight. He only has to call Hearn's bluff one more time, but he doesn't want to, pure and simple. What's to prevent him fighting Joshua in April 2019?

Now do I think Hearn ever wanted the fight next, probably not and definitely not after the protracted negotiations. But Wilder isn't proving he ever really wanted it either as we all know he's fighting Breazeale next and his own offer was for a fight after Sept 2018, which would fit an interim fight in with Breazeale.

Both sides pretending they want it next but both seem happy to delay the fight and take an interim fight. But the difference is Joshua is fight Povetkin who other than Wilder and a fit Fury is the only other top guy worth fighting while Wilder will be fighting a guy Joshua already beat convincingly.

 

Hearn didn't want the fight...it's as simple as that. It wouldn't have mattered what Wilder agreed upon he wasn't getting the fight. LMAO, "sign the contract"...the one with no date or venue, seems legit.

The contract he has does have a date and venue. It's in April 2019 at Wembley.

The first contract he had was September 2018, but he took so long to do get back to them Camelot and GGG stole the date. Wilder is either the worst represented HW Champ in history, or the most stupid HW Champ in history.

Why on earth would the venue matter to a guy getting a purse anyway? What difference does it make to Wilder? Does he think they're going to send him to Germany when the fight is in the US?
