Yeah, that makes total sense that he would want to hold onto the belt without any income for the time he sits out.

Povetkin could have fought him in January and asked for an extension. Then failed a drug test. Yep, Wilder sure is trying to avoid him.

he he you say it like he's broke his hand and blown his bicep to bits just to avoid Povetkin lol,I don't like Wilders antics or his weak opposition but I fall short of blaming him for this?

Called it, I said without a doubt that he'd get injured during or following this fight and sit out avoiding his mando even longer. Time for the next rated contender to fight for the belt, he's milked it far too long.

Fractured hands don't take that long to heal.

This smells like vacation and a good way to stay away from risks in the ring for another year

I wouldn't know how long a for acted hand takes to heal but considering he has pins in there six month would be a minimum I'd of thought and that bicep could prove just as bad,I wonder if he's over trained to begin with cause he had the Povetkin fight and then this?

****ty, now Wilder gets to go into a long lay off only to return to fight the likes of Fred Kassi's of the world.
