It's time for a real top ten heavyweight fight.

Wilder is yet to face a top 10 contender and already had 5 championship fights

One of following opponents must be his next opponent, or I will strip that belt of his by myself:

    Tyson Fury
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Vitali Klitschko
    Alexander Povetkin
    Luis Ortiz
    Anthony Joshua
    Joseph Parker
    Kubrat Pulev
    David Haye

Hearing that Leon Spinks is in tip top shape and training for a potential mega fight with Wilder that's slated for next April. You heard it here first!

Wilder has beaten two of the WBC's top five contenders, or four of the WBC's top 10 contenders, or six of the WBC's top 12 contenders.

Wilder has beaten more current contenders than any other heavyweight champ fighting today.

When he returns, he'll fight yet another WBC contender.

Or, if Wlad beats Fury in their return, they (Wilder and Wlad) will likely sign to unify. They had planned to do that this year before Wlad lost to Fury.

Very funny post coming from someone who takes pride in supposedly being a decades long hardcore boxing fan, and not being a sheep. Yet you're taking ABC rankings as gospel truth.:patsch

Wilders competition since winning the belt has been abysmal. There's no defending it.... Unless you're a delusional fanboy.

He's not the "ABC" champ. He's the WBC champ. He defends against WBC contenders, until he unifies.

I don't know why that's so difficult for you to grasp.

Do you think Larry Holmes gave a cr@p who the WBA contenders were when he was the WBC champ? No.

Holmes had to answer to the WBC, and so does Wilder.

Wilder will defend against WBC contenders until he unifies with another champ. Should he win, he'll have to deal with the other org's contenders, too.

    Until then, he doesn't.

    Exactly.

Povetkin's lucky Wilder listens to the WBC. No other organization even rates Povetkin. That's why no other champ is even considering a fight with him.

Not familiar with your boxing terms/slang now are you?

I understand that.. But Wilder chooses from the bottom of the barrel, fights the worst and most low risk opponents possible.

Until Wilder starts fighting better competition he'll receive slack from boxing fans.

No other champ has considered a fight with Povetkin because Wilder and the WBC have been promising him a shot for ages.

I'm not an irrational Wilder hater. He aggravates me because he's such an unknown quantity. He shouldn't be that this many defences into a WBC title reign.

If he proves himself it will be annoying that he was bottom feeding for so long and if he turns out to be the fraud many accusing him being then that's another black eye for boxing. That's what was so good about the Povetkin fight. We were finally about to find out or so we thought, he ended up digging up the beyond shot Arreola and managed to injure himself clowning around further delaying him stepping the **** up. What an absolute ****.
