if mike tyson, evander holyfield, lennox lewis, wlad klitschko, and anthony joshua never tested positive, that shows the credibility of testing.
They think so little of the boxing public that they keep going back to the same narrative thinking we are all to dumb to know any better. It's disgusting really!
Sadly they not too far wrong. The majority of boxing fans as evidenced by some of the naive and moronic posts on this very site, show that there are enough gullible fans left in the sport to fool, along with those who wished to be fooled.
If Wilder will fight with Stivern, then probably Wilder's team knew in advance that Ortiz wouldn't pass the PED test, and they chose Ortiz to promote the fight with Stiver, because the TV channels didn't want to buy a fight between Wilder and Stiver As for me, it was very "suspicious" when Wilder unexpectedly raised the level of his opponents, and instead of the next "homeless" or "taxi driver" chose really dangerous opponent
Wilder's camp knew that Ortiz was taking PED's before the fight was signed. They had no intention of fighting him and knew that Ortiz would be caught and the fight would not happen. Explains why they refused a fight with Dillian Whyte for more money.
Exactly what I think. I could be wrong but it what a coincidence that the two best fighters he was ever gonna fight both tested positive for something. Combine this with his record of fighting poor opponents and it leaves me suspicious. This happening doesn't surprise me one bit. Tbh I expected it to happen anyway. Now with Wilder saying he's even more feared than Mike Tyson it just makes me annoyed.
I never seriously thought this fight was taking place and couldn't really muster up much enthusiasm for it as a result. It just seemed too anomalous a choice of opponent for Wilder to suddenly go in with, a huge punching dangerman with little to bring to the table in terms of financial reward. A whole load of massive alarm bells right there. As for who is to blame, honestly I couldn't care less. If Ortiz was legit caught out then screw him; you make your bed and you sleep in it. But Wilder knew Ortiz's past and even claimed after the Povetkin fiasco that he'd never fight an opponent who'd failed a drug test, so the possibility of this happening was higher than average. So once again Wilder is forced to find a replacement at late notice, someone who'll likely be complete crap and undertrained. This is, what, the fifth time? Sixth? And Wilder has the gall to brag about it? Honestly, if I was in his position I'd shut the merry hell up and just keep my head down cause everyone with a brain is getting quite heartily sick of his ass now.
